Solar Watches

Hi everyone,

I've been looking for a solar watch to add to my collection. I have small wrists and the solar watches I have seen so far are quite big. I would prefer for the watch to have a sapphire crystal and I am not a fan of divers. Does anyone have any suggestions of watches I could check out?

Thanks for the help :).

I also have small wrists and prefer 36-38mm. Vaer does offer some nice solar dive watches at 38mm. But since you mentioned you don’t like divers, maybe a Citizen Garrison at 37mm (Ref BM8180-03E). This was my daily for several years.

Citizen has already been suggested, but if you are looking for something a bit smaller, you might look at the Stiletto line. They are 39mm, 5mm thick, and come with sapphire crystal for around $200 on the grey market.

I strongly recommended the Casio Oceanus S100. It’s so well finished and wears beautifully on a 6 and 3 quarter inch wrist.

The best solar watch for small wrists is, hands down, the Cartier Tank Must SolarBeat.

I was going to throw the Tank solarbeat up also. Lovely watch.

I think the perfect watch for your wrist could be the Citizen Stiletto...36mm case size and only 5mm thin...Solar Eco-drive...here's a wrist shot...

Here is a link to a vendor who has one for sale...I think these were discontinued...

Hi! Here my collection of solar watches sunbathing. I have a big wrist (180mm) then my watches are pretty large. I would recommend to see the Citizen Eco-Drive collection. There are compact watches with a very good quality and accuracy.

Also Casio has a lot of solar watches in their lineup a part of the bigger GShocks.

I recently purchased this Solar Watch from Jack Mason because I wanted something fun for my travels and it's been awesome. I have small wrists as well (6in) and this feels and wears, to my surprise, very nicely. Has a cool little compass on the inner bezel as well, fun touch.

Love the eco friendly-ness of this watch as well. The site says a lot about using recycled materials for this line of watches. All in all, I love it!

I recently picked up a solar chronograph from Jack Mason when I visited their store front in Dallas. So far I've been really enjoying wearing this one... I can confirm that these wear very nicely

Thanks everyone for the wide variety of selection. I really like the Casio Oceanus but the import cost is quite expensive. I also like the Casio garrison and Timex 36 mm.
