Looks great! On the OEM fabric strap: I have one for my seaq and while it looks nice, it's not the most comfortable and it is, at least for me, a big pain to install and remove bc of the very tight tolerances with the case- of all the watch straps I've ever dealt with it might be the most frustrating... so while I really like the deployant that goes with it I don't usually use the fabric strap
Another vote here for keep it on your wrist: I have never been asked to take my watch off (also pre check so through the metal detector no issues) - I did see once that you should keep your watch as close to the middle of the detector as you can (eg hold your hands in the middle versus to your sides) so you have less chance of magnetizing but again have never had a magnetization issue either after going through countless metal detectors
GS9 club edition for me- not so much a Christmas-y pick but chosen cause I'm currently obsessed with it (made more christmas-y with tissue paper for my last minute Christmas Eve gift wrapping)
Grand Seiko's beads of rice is super well done, heavy enough to feel the quality, and very comfortable- I think that's a major draw to me of the SBGW case style, the ability to pair them with the beads of rice - I had the jade mt iwate Thailand limited edition and it's one of the only watches I regret selling
