RSC here says every 10 years is fine assuming there’s nothing out of the ordinary. I think what you described falls under out of the ordinary though so prob best to take it in to have it checked. This is an exaggeration but waiting might balloon a 200 fix to a 2000 one should a loose part get tangled with another
Actually it’s an interesting question now that I think about it. I answered false on the poll but if I’m being objective I do think for most people it would be true. In an old post of mine I stated if I could have just one watch it would be the Pelagos 39, but I have the good fortune of having 11 Rolex’s (picked up my 11h an airking from the dealer just this pm) and 5 Tudors. I have a feeling the materialistic nature of myself would outweigh the pragmatic portion should I never have had the opportunity of experincing multiple pieces from both brands. I think if I was buying my very first watch today I would prob only go for the P39 or BB 58 if I couldn’t afford sub no date.
It’s one thing to say the brands are quite diff and you can only enjoy certain models from each respective brand (BB54, FXD, sky dweller etc) but that line of thinking is not mutually exclusive with most people only settling for Tudor.
