I don’t find it basic at all. In fact, It’s too busy for me (I’d rather have the explorer), but that’s just me.
it’s a nice watch. I wonder honestly whether I’d like it better on a black sailcloth strap or distressed leather. Give it more of a rugged look.
Congrats it’s a really cool watch that not enough people appreciate although most true enthusiasts like this one. It’s basically a bigger explorer with be numbers instead of indices. A watch capable of doing anything an explorer can do but with a fun little splash of color.
Love the crown and green details
Had this and sold it after a couple of years. It was my first major purchase and as my taste in watches changed, I fell out of love with it. But. I did like how it is an outlier in the Rolex catalogue and the contrarian in me loved that! Enjoy it!
As one not typically interested in Rolex (out of my league) I do think this is one of their more interesting. 👍🏻
