I think it’s easy to forget that Charlie Brown and Snoopy weren’t only cartoons added to the watch for fun, but were actually mascots for the Apollo missions (I believe starting back at Apollo 10) and specifically the Manned Spaceflight Awareness program. An additional fun fact is that the Silver Snoopy Award is an especially prestigious award within the community that exemplifies outstanding performance and contribution to flight safety/mission success. So in my opinion the Snoopy, has a much more historical significance than most other fun dial cartoon designs.

While I much prefer the Duoface, I have imagined that if I were to get a Monoface I would like to get it engraved or be lucky enough to get one of the limited edition ones that have intricate art designs. Then, I could wear a watch on one hand and wear the Reverso with the art side / engraved side showing on my other hand as more of a bracelet. I don’t know why this thought comes up a lot when I think of wearing a Monoface Reverso… but seems like it could be a fun style choice / conversation starter.

The Khaki Field Auto surprised me today. I got to try on the whole line and expected to like this one the least since I heard the lack of AR coating makes it look like you’re looking into a mirror. It really didn’t strike me that reflective and it was extremely legible for 38mm. It just fit well and is on my list of watches to add to the collection.

This 8315 is amazing quality. I’ve heard that the 5303 had some movement issues, but has been since resolved. The 5303 is on my list to add to the collection as well!
