It's my first time too but I'm hoping to try on some watches to see how they fit in person: traska summiteer 36 vs 38mm, nodus sector sport, Baltic Hermetique and Aquascaphe, Lorier Neptune and Falcon... Basically all the microbrands that I'm considering shopping online in the next year :)
My dad offered me to pick any watch from his collection when I graduated from college. I think it's a good compromise between passing down and the collection being too tailored to you. Also 18 may be too soon, I didn't take good care of that watch and I couldn't afford getting it serviced, and I was already 23 years old by then
I really like my two Vaer S3s (Tradition and Calendar white). I've been considering the 38mm Solar divers but I'm unsure about how they will fit on my 6.25 in wrist. Can you post some pics with it since you have similarly sized wrists? Also, will you guys be in the Windup Fair in SF next month? I'd love to try some of your other models!
I have a similar policy, but there are 2 watches rarely wear and I don't want to sell (dad's watch + teenage watch) which I migrated out of the official "collection" box.
