Since I learned of the Gruen Airflight 24 hour watch I have wanted one. This sample is from the 1960s. It has a sort of jump hour complication. It jumps at 1 am and 1 pm. It jumps from 1-12 to 13-24.

Man I love these watches, and yours is a fantastic example! Enjoy it!
Wow, that's an interesting watch!
Really unique look…
Wow! Super cool! 😎👍
Great and unusual complication, this is a new one to me. Very nice looking example, too. Thanks for the post.

I would love to see this complication done in a modern watch. This one looks even better than I had hoped. I pretty sure it was restored but it looks like it was well done. It seems to be working well, in the few hours I have owned it so far.
That watch is 🔥🔥🔥! Where did you find it?

Found it on eBay. Been searching all sorts of watch sites for one. There are usually a few out there to be had. Just took a bit to find one at a price I was ok with that looked good in pictures and was reported to be working.
The cool complication combined with that awesome Deco style, winner!
Never heard of this complication before.

I think it is a handy complication. Particularly if you use military time.
Awesome watch!!!
That's beautiful man.
What a beautiful watch 👌. Is that a stainless steel bracelet you have it on?
I saw a post about a watch like this a while ago and I was also very quickly enamoured. Wonderful find!

I was in the same boat and just kept an eye out for one until I found one.
This is amazing, looks restored that dial is mint but years ago it was not uncommon to find stashes of almost pristine Gruen watches at antique stores around the city for sale. Most dealers sold at a standard price under $100 cad negotiable based on the number of items purchased in one transaction.
I am pretty sure it was restored but it seems to be well done and I am fine with it being a restored watch. It was not bought for investment or for historical accuracy but rather because I likes the complication, look and I most importantly I want to wear it.
Congratulations! I love these
Oh that is beautiful! Thank you for sharing 🙏

Completely agree. Now I need one of these.
Yes, it came on one of those vintage half solid half metal stretch ( Bandini or twist-o-flex - I think they are called) band on it. To my surprise I really like the look and think it fits the watch well.
It looks great! If you could share a better photo of the bracelet it would be nice. Thanks and enjoy this beauty!!
Could not add a wrist roll video so pictures it is.

These are cool.
Gruen are an excellent proposition on the vintage market, and this one looks like it’s in excellent condition. Enjoy.

I hope it doesn’t distract me at work today as it is the first time wearing it for an extended period of time today.
