Storm Trooper Watches!!

I was hoping to get this but then saw the review of the watch and the thickness really put me off. 15.8mm thickness for a very short lug to lug watch is a very odd proportion. I'm wondering how Zelos managed to jack this watch up with a very thin Miyota movement 😶

we shall see! When it arrives worst I can always return it, let’s see how it wears…the specs says 12.5 mm thickness

That Zelos looks 👌 The white bezel looks really good, but with the hint of orange I am thinking it's more of a Episode 1 clone trooper vibe 😄

Even I was interested after seeing the specs on their website. But the GMT is actually 15.8mm and the three-hander is 14mm. JOMW released his review on the models a few hours before the sale went live, he mentioned all the correct dimensions. Zelos advertised the thickness excluding the top hat double domed crystal. The handset is positioned quite high above the dial apparently and they went with a top hat crystal to accommodate without raising the case height.

Looking forward to seeing yours when you get the watch. The white colourway was the most tame out of the released bunch 😅

Had the very same in my basket but just couldn’t pull the trigger as not being able to tell the time (no minute track) was too big a problem for me. Hopefully they’ll do an improved version … It’s certainly a cracking looking watch but that flaw would always bother me.

I ordered one of these Frost GMTs -- but we'll see if they wind up coming through with the order, for reasons I will not go into until I have the watch in hand.
