I used Chrono24 and Ippo watches specifically only a few weeks ago. Any concerns I had with this approach were eased with the extremely good customer service and simplicity of ordering. Also meant I could get my hands on a JDM model which was a bonus.
I'm in the UK and the only additional cost was a very low Fedex fee and the standard UK tax of 20% on top; all expected and no surprises, apart from how easy the whole thing was.
Oh, and ordered on a Saturday morning and was on my wrist by Wednesday afternoon!
Personally, apart from my Rolex purchase, I never pay full retail, either from an AD or on places like Chrono24. Have used grey market dealers and all pieces have come with full guarantees etc
