It does not fit most peopleโs definition of a GADA, but here is mine.
I have been looking at Norwuain, but have not shown to anyone that had actually owned one. Can you provide your insight into it? Dimensions, movement,etc... or better yet,a review?
I could not agree more. Icons are icons for a reason if you ask me. Even the ones I don't personally love (e.g. the Submariner), I recognize their importance and their appeal.
Probably a boring answer from me, but I have to go with the Speedmaster. Super versatile!
Classic is never boring...and that is a CLASSIC. EDC with a bracelet, a nice alligator strap with a tux....or a velcro nylon strap for a literal trip to the moon. Now that's a go ANYWHERE watch. ๐๐๐
Trish, forgive my amature pics. I'm not going to do these watches a bit of justice. For the record your photography is awesome! Anyway here's my ramble on the GADA
I acquired a new 36mm Explorer I in 2022. My daughter fell in love with it (she is not a watch collector or enthusiast) I gave it to her and I love that she is happy!
That said, I sold my Snowflake because I am an idiot. I miss that watch every day! What a GADA! Super accurate, lightweight and specs to last a lifetime. Dress up or down with a Snowflake = all class and cool.
Since I flaked on the Snowflake I have THREE GADA watches
The Marathon GSAR : Tough as nails, cool tritium lume and it wears smaller than specs read. You can wear this watch anywhere with no issues.
Old-school Explorer II This watch has perfect dimensions, weight (for steel) and under the radar looks.
And the Longines Spirit Titaniumn 40mm . If a date is not a requirement it's hard to beat the specs, weight and overall style of this watch.

Depends. If I want shiny, it's the 124270. A little more subdued, it's the Tudor Ranger.
Mine
Or
Arrives in 3 days, it would be my Zelos Aurora Field Ti.
Enjoy your watches!
Cheers
Had to add specs
It's not luxury but it's really nice for 200 dollars.
Titanium, sapphire, solar, radio sync, etc. Even has a nice flashlight to see stuff at night.
Though I'd switch the strap to rubber if I had to go in the water. Or switch to slim black fabric to make it more dressy.
Tudor BB41 smiley face
My Omega Railmaster fits the bill for me.

Same, except I have the 224270.
My 124270 is no GADA thus I'd say the Summiteer is.
40mm explorer is the one for me. It's my ultimate grail. I love that one.

The Ranger definitely fits
What does GADA stand for? Then I could join in

To me it is the 556. You can dress it up or down. It can be worn on any style of strap. It is not too big or too small.

From the small world file, the Rolex Explorer Ref 124270 is my favorite GADA watch too!
