The Strap Tailor
Have just received my new strap for my Grand Seiko SBGN003. Whilst it looks great on the supplied bracelet, I’d always thought it might look awesome on a strap.
I’d searched the market for what I had in mind and really couldn’t decide. So I struck up a conversation with David (The Strap Tailor) and exchanged ideas.
I wanted a subtle nod to the orange of the GMT hand, along with a supple strap straight out the gate; I have boney wrists and if a strap is too stiff it just doesn’t sit well.
Couldn’t be happier with the result. Yes I could buy a cheaper strap, but this one is made for me, to my exact requirements and frankly I couldn’t be happier 😊

Agree, when you consider the consultation time, quality of the materials and bespoke design - it represents great value.

All of it was bespoke, including the edging.
I also had David make up a strap for my Tudor Chrono S+G, I asked for something in the 'John Player Special' black and gold theme and this is what he created, I particularly love the raised textures near the lugs, proper 1970's racing theme.

I've had a couple straps from him made. They are exceptional. The last one was a notched strap that the manufacturer discontinued. Looks great on the timepiece.
