Watch hands

Guys, what do you think are the prettiest watch hands? Personally, I think dauphine hands are the prettiest.

As a matter of fact, I just checked out a Seiko with these exact hands (not a King Seiko though, that鈥檚 still out of my budget)馃槄

The flat brushed top and polished chamfer hands of Grand Seiko and vintage King Seiko are my all time favorites for dress watches. Especially under a macro lens, the level of finishing is simply stunning. 馃槏

What about switch blade hands? Certainly on the more unique side with Core Timepieces. In all seriousness though I think dauphine wins for prettiest but in terms of lume or legibility I prefer something thicker

I'm a big fan of dauphin and cathedral hands

Depends on the kind of watch but generally I agree, dauphine hands especially if done by Grand Seiko.

Love breguet hands

Always partial to dauphine, but sword and syringe have their place.

Agreed. Every time I look at my collection those hands shine!

I like this kind of hands, on the contrary, , the kind of hands of the GS it's the main reason I don't have one and never will...., but I confess that I never looked to watch hands with a lens.

That's a good graphic showing all the types of hands. Is it missing snowflake and cathedral? And would broad arrow fall under arrow?

Dauphine = best. Cathedral = second place. Syringe = honourable mention.

A combo of leaf/Breguet

Love me some dauphine hands.

Dauphine, but Cathedral is most versatile IMO.

Hard to say....as the hands simply have to work well with the dial for me. That said, I'm NOT a fan of cathedral or syringe hands in general.

I like dauphine hands, but unfortunately most dauphine hands are for dress watches & rarely lumed. Plus i'm not a dress watch guy.

Since i'm more of a tool watches guy, my favs are arrow hands & sword hands.

Definitely not a fan of mercedes hands & snowflake hands, just not my cup of tea. Guess most Rolex & Tudor are not meant for me 馃槀

Breguet hands imo

My favorite watch hands are broad arrow hands and sword hands 馃挭

I agree with you: dauphine hands, whether the beveled Patek style or the flatter GS鈥.they're beautiful.

GS cause it can do this

Dauphine, Mercedes, Sword, and Syringe. Those are my favorites.

A well-executed set of stick hands is excellent too.
