Cant Stop Staring at This
I told you guys that while lot of watch snobs refrain from Chinese watches at times its based on pre-conceived notions and lot of youtube influencers giving undue important to certain brands only becasuse of reasons other than watch quality - The so-called micro brands blatantly copying every single design element from top tier watches are given a free pass and even promoted just because their factory may be in Cleveland and not in Shanghai - I have always been fascinated by how certain asian watchmakers continue to push the envelope and keep improving movements, dials and overall quality
I had pre-ordered for this the minute I heard they are releasing this and boy am i surprised and delighted!!!
Havent seen such an incredible dial work in a long time - quality, weight, complications, accuracy everything is on point and amazing - Will only change it to blue strap and thats it

I disagree slightly. I don’t think you should lump watches from Asia together. Looking at the largest market participants, plenty of air time is given to Japanese watches, and notable brands from Singapore and China are lauded regularly. My feeling is that your comments are more reflective of views on Chinese brands. I agree some are unfairly treated based on the whole homage debate but it’s not all prejudice. Lay some of the blame at their feet too. Other than YouTube, Amazon and Ali, where is the global marketing campaign for San Martin, etc? I don’t think there is any that reaches causal buyers in the US on a consistent basis.

Holy snowmobile Batman. This watch dial is for sure an absolute God tier design. I’m not sure I would get anything done responsibly on time If I had this watch given the amount of time I would take staring at the dial. Thanks for sharing this one with us!

Right??? I was blown away - i was literally praying that its not the case where pics are too pretty and real watch is a disappointment - but when it arrived I realized pics cant even to justice to how beautiful it is in real as its engraved dial

Their watches are absolutely phenomenal
There are good Chinese brands but they are overshadowed by the "quick buck" brands selling sub $100.00 cheap crap that was put together without proper servicing. Winner, Benyar and Corgeut to name a few. Seagull is not the same as Sea-Gull brand and thats where they knife each other undercutting price at the cost of quality.
Took the words right out of my mouth. What causes me concern is the possibility of losing access to these neat Asian watches due to geopolitical turmoil. 😓
I came across Lobinni about two years ago. They used more pictures of Interlaken on their home page back then.
I think the watches are gorgeous, but they were a little bit coy about their heritage. Statements like: "LOBINNI, is a Swiss registered brand." on their home page not technically wrong, but also not very forthcoming.
They are simply a brand selling Chinese watches. I simply wish they were a little more direct about it.
yup - i think the story is just fabricated and i guess they sell it this way because they know unless people view these as european they won't buy or like .. its tricky ..

You are aware that the Chinese have a decent history of watch making? It’s not a recent phenomena born out of counterfeits coming good.
The Lobinni brand is a little odd, even though the watches are beautiful. They used to sell them under "Lobinni, Interlaken". I've been to Interlaken, a small Swiss tourist town, with some breathtaking scenery.
I've not come across a Lobinni vintage watch, and the only place I can find something regarding their heritage in Interlaken is their brand story.

The bottom part looks like ice while the top part looks like the sea. The dial kinda reminds me of pictures of antarctica. 🤩

Oh, yes. I do. I know they do have legitimate watchmakers that they should be proud of. I am serious when I have grudging admiration for those making watches that are so well made that experts have a great deal of difficulty telling them apart from the genuine article. That takes an exceptional level of skill. Not a disparaging comment. It really is impressive.

its an automatic movement - not sure which one but pretty reliable and accurate
The design at the center of the dial kind of reminded me of the Golden Sun Bird from the Jinsha museum in Chengdu.
