It has started - New 2023 Tudor Watch

Anything you like? Quite intrigued by the new BB54. Very excited about what W&W has in store for us :)

Nothing special tbh, the Black Bay 36/39/31 got the updates which was expected.

BB58 39mm needed an update but they just left that out and released a 37mm which for some is a good size, at least they put a T-fit clasp.

·

Tudor have a pop up store at W & W with the possibility to get a watch.

·

I'm happy that BB36 and BB39 got their expected upgrades and love to get one of them at some point. Now the Explorer probably has the best alternative it has had in a while and amusingly it's essentially competing with itself (given the relationship between the two companies and the Rolex-derived MT calibers). 😄

I'm also interested in the new BB54, although 37mm for a diver is a bit on the small side for me. Perhaps the METAS certified BB is the watch that caught my attention the most today. And they mentioned in the release announcement that more Tudor watches will get METAS certified soon. I'm really impressed by Rolex's decision to position Tudor higher up the luxury brands hierarchy.

Anyways, I'm happy with the new releases overall and hope I'll be able to see them in person in a few months. I was also relieved they didn't release a new Ranger, having bought mine just a couple of months ago. 😄

I will be at W&W on Saturday so who knows what will happen :p

·

BB54. It’s like they they had direct line to my thoughts….!

Let us know if you see it!

I'm interested but also frustrated: I don't understand why watch thickness is not listed as a standard measure.

·

That new BB36 in Blue on the Jubilee Bracelet 👌🏻

I'm interested but also frustrated: I don't understand why watch thickness is not listed as a standard measure.

They also don't mention the lug-to-lug. Tudor and Rolex have always been super annoying with the tech specs on their sites compared to brands like NOMOS or Christopher Ward that list everything possible one can think of. Anyways, we'll know the measures pretty soon from the various watch reviewers. I'm also curious how thin the BB54 is going to be.

The BB54 is 11.25mm thick and 46mm lug to lug. Quite good proportions but very longs.

I am liking the blue BB36 on the new bracelet with T-Fit. 👌

The new bracelet on the Red 41 also looks really good , no mention of T-Fit upgrade on the BB58 line though ?? Maybe that can be confirmed by any visitors to W&W hopefully.

The new Jubilee bracelet would have been killer on the 58 , seems liked a missed opportunity and odd they would update the 41 line with it.

·

Is the Update only for the Red bezel BB? This would not be a smart move since everyone now sees update coming for the rest of the lineup. I am interested in the black/blue one, but now I will wait for the Update.

I think that's the case. They'll probably refresh the rest of the BB41 lineup throughout the year.

Well, they do need to have something to update next year as well, right? :-)

In many ways Rolex and Tudor remind me of Apple with their product update/rollout strategy. Never update everything to the latest and greatest, always keep the customers waiting for some update.

Updated BB classic line was expected but I'm still happy with the result. Love the blue dial ! A bit darker blue than the previous version, it looks so much better to me.

As a BB58 owner slightly disappointed to no get a updated T-Fit bracelet for it. I'm wondering if the riveted bracelet of the new BB54 or the BB39 jubilee could fit like it does with the ranger bracelet ? If the jubilee works I might pull the trigger.

Love the updated Red BB, but I don't understand why the rest of line do not get the same update. Might be for a bit later this year with some surprise release like they did last year. Anyway, would be cool to see the whole BB Divers lines updated this way. BB58 deserves an updated bracelet and a Master chronometer certification.

A bit disappointed to not see a Blue Pelagos 39 or a new Sub like they did the ods days though.

Got the biggest official store in Paris on line and they won't get any watches (to show not even to sell) before 3 to 4 weeks. Bit slow to me.

Last but not least : I don't get why they are ditching the snowflake second hand for a lollipop one.. it feel less Tudorish

but very longs

long lugs?

The dimensions are definitely reasonable.

Oh no! I love the snowflake seconds hand! 😢

I like that new white dialed GMT (I am biased as I was waiting forever for the Lorier Skyward). Definitely a watch I want to see in person. I also would like to see the new jubilee bracelet in person.

·

I suspect that they plan on changing their tag line from "Born To Dare" to "Bored To Death".

·

I was pretty underwhelmed with their 2023 releases, TBH. Actually, I've been putting off new purchases until W and W but nothing exciting for me from Tudor. Don't get me wrong, I love the brand but I was just hopeful, for lets say...more....

·

The new burgundy is apparently 13.6mm thick, down from 14.9mm - still too thick (the original smiley was 12.8mm, and even that was a bit chunky). I'd be interested in trying the BB54, but that diameter needs to be slimmer than 11.25mm (my 41mm Sinn U50 is 11.1mm thick and has 500m WR).

·

One of those BB41's on jubilee might have my name on it... Money pending

·

The new 54 is a must buy for me. 37mm is my dream spot. So they really nailed the head on this one for me.

·

Does anyone else feel that it's odd that Tudor is using snowflake hands with Rolex style seconds hands on its new pieces (circular lume pip and counterweight end) as opposed to the prior style (diamond and straight counterweight) that they were previously using? The mix looks odd to me.

·

I quite like the new Black Bay line with the 36mm in blue calling my name. https://www.tudorwatch.com/en/watches/black-bay-31-36-39-41/m79640-0002

The GMT is tempting but just too thick. The new Royal looks good but there's too much negative space at the bottom of the dial.

·

The BB 36mm and 39mm with the sunburst blue dial are my highlight of the Tudor releases.

Bit disappointed by the GMT to be honest.

·

There’s nothing in these new releases for me. I still want a BB Chronograph and a Pelagos 39. Nothing else in Tudor’s catalog interests me.

·

Would like to have seen a BB58 with updated bracelet. Otherwise, BB54, 36 an 39 are on my radar.

·

Another odd observation. In the UK, the BB58 is a tad more expensive than the 54 (going on the Tudor website).

·

The BB54 seems to be polarising. Especially around the size. However for true vintage aficionados, 37mm is the first size of dive watch Tudor ever made, so it’s on the money. Put it on the Bond NATO and it will be mint 💥

·

bb54 caught my eyes. The blue dial of the fixed-bezel bb captivated me too

but the bb54 is the winner
