I wear my G-Shock square 90% of the time because it's my work watch. During my of time I wear whatever feels right that day or whatever matches my outfit if I'm going out.
Yeah ... That's too much money to risk for me personally. There are so many cheaper watches out there that still look good and have some brand recognition in the watch community that I would wear as a beater. G-Shock is the obvious answer, but if you want something fancier there is Seiko, Citizen, Tissot, Hamilton, etc etc.
This is my same mentality, except the moon watch will be my retirement gift to myself. The Lunar Pilot is nice. I had the 45 but traded for the 43.5 and I like it much better. I ended up with 3 of them....hah.
