Stopped by accountant's the other day to deliver my tax info and wait for my refund, while most of what I receive will be put into savings my biggest buy will be in vehicle maitainence, of course my wife gets a cut and what little is left is for my yearly splurge for myself haha, so here are my top contenders for a first bigger purchase until later this year

Citizen! Iโve seen that reference in person and itโs really nice. I like that it has a gloss (non sunburst) blue as the colour has more punch than a sunburst. It also has an internally domed sapphire, very cool and unique as well as a 9051 movement.
Not too keen on the Hamilton given questions on the movement. I donโt think it has the plastic escapement of the powermatic 80 but otherwise is largely similar. Also the caseback is/was mineral glass on these and I always seem to scratch mineral casebacks (maybe a *me* problem). Good looking watch though but for the same money you could get a CWC Mellor 72, or I believe Smiths PRS-29 are going to be restocked soon.
I like the Bulova too, but some people find they wear too large, even the new reduced version has a long L-2-L so best try it on!

Thank you! I've been reading about them and I'm torn mostly between the Hamilton and citizen because I don't own a field watch as of yet or any citizen watches but from what I've seen they've stepped up their game, my jeweler carries some of the promaster dive watches and they are very well made and refined, I'm going this weekend to buy my wife her Valentines day gift so I will be sure to handle them again to really get a feel for it
If you don't already have a revolver, I vote for the python. I think revolvers are some of the most fun guns to shoot. Also nice for wildlife defense if that's a thing you'd like. I'd pick other things for self defense, but it's not like it doesn't work there too.
All of the watches are decent, I think, so personal preference and filling a niche in a collection would dictate that decision.
You wonโt regret the Bulova

Yes sir I'm an avid firearms collector and own 3 of the current production colt snake guns, my dad has a blued python made In 1971 but my older brother is getting that and I just wanted another blue handgun to break up the monotony of stainless steel lol, they are all great watche and if I could spend the money I would get them all so I will be sure to post an update, thanks friend

My grail watch is an omega speedmaster moon watch which I hope to have when my oldest child graduates high school in 9 years so I figure the bulova will hold me over until then haha ๐

First of all, I'm sorry for your wallet, having to deal with a watch and firearm collector.
I only own one revolver, and it took me a while to buy one because I had a number of more important use cases I wanted other guns for. I finally bought a S&W 686 mostly for target shooting and practicing trigger control with a heavy DA trigger pull. It's immensely satisfying to shoot, even just plinking with 38 special. If I ever buy another full size revolver, it'll probably be a colt.
Gun, followed by any damn watch you want.
Followed by prison.
I may be a bit biased, but I love wearing my Hamilton Khaki Field Automatic. Itโs one of my most if not the most worn watch in my collection. I donโt baby it and itโs got the scratches to tell. If it was me and I didnโt have the Hamilton, id be getting that!
I have a couple Kimber 1911s (micro .380 and a 9mm) but have never tried a revolver.
What is a gun doing in there.... Ahhh Americans ๐
Jokes apart, from the watches in our shortlist, as much as I dig the Avi8, I think that you can't go wrong with the moon pilot.
I would say the colt and the Bulova. Make sure you save some cash for the ammo.
Manโฆ..you didnโt make this easy. All are good selectionsโฆ.Iโd have to go with the Hamilton on this oneโฆ.๐ป
Guns?! For an italian as me is insane to evaluate a gun as and object to buy for fun.
Revolvers are good for one thing: throwing at the assailant when it jams up. ๐
Hamilton every day and twice on Sunday

Couldn't agree more I love my Hamilton
All nice. If itโs important, the Python will absolutely hold its value more than any of these watches. If thatโs not important, then I would go with the Python ๐ฌ
If u go Bulova see if u could get the new meteorite dial!! Looks like the new speed master in a way..if u go hammy go with the newer titanium model of the new one with the compass bezel!!..just my picks

Absolutely they are works of art especially the original versions, I've seen mint condition and other rare models going for upwards and over $10,000 I doubt I will ever see that but yes they are most definitely an investment

Very good picks! My best friend sent me a picture of the model with the meteorite face and my jaw hit the floor, I saw they're, making limited numbers so I hope I can grab one before they sell out
For sure!!..you know that's going to be a winner hands down!!..plus I read that it's actually cut from the oldest meteorite ever found!!.if I had the funds I'd be on that

Baller!!..1400.00 and sold out..can't wait to see scalper prices

You're telling me, that definitely makes for a unique piece
Hamilton or Citizen

Youโll enjoy the #lunarpilot. Itโs its own watch with a completely different vibe than the #omegaspeedmaster.
I have three AVI-8 watches. They are really cool looking and fun to wear.
The Bulova Lunar Pilot is on my list of to-get watches.
I have a Hamilton Khaki Navy UTC and itโs a beast of a watch!
Which ever one you got, I hope you enjoy it! ๐๐๐๐คฉ

Thank you! I think I've decided it's going to be the Hamilton and maybe another glycine automatic haha
