Those are SWEET! 🥰

I don’t like chronos but that Prospex speedy looks amazing

I’m boring at this task since I’d have a group like yours.. 🤪, but guess generally It’d have to be a big brand with great variety across both price and styles.

Easy to do with Seiko and GS. 👍

Well as I have five I may as well get another seiko to make up the six you asked for 😊 be cheaper than adding three more omegas as I would probably do if money was not a consideration

Its really well made

Got a 70's stopwatch to go with 😉

Even number only, to the shops with you immediately 😉

Nice collection 👍

I could probably end up with 6 Seikos. So far I only have one, 3 are on my wishlist and all would be pre-2000. I like the Presage range so it will probably happen, but not for a while.

I've just taken a look in the box and counted 6 Vostoks. A couple more are on the future list.

I have 3 Poljots +2 wishlist so that's short, but something might catch my eye.

VC could get to half dozen in time.

·

Nicely Done Batman !! As for me I don’t have any Seiko’s 🤪

C’mon just six!! Haha!! Ok here’s my go to six…

Image

I was also thinking maybe I can make it even 2 GS, 2 LX, 2 KS or even 2 Persage Porcelain, 2 Persage Enamel and 2 Persage Laquer… or 2 prospex diver, 2 Persage and 2 Seiko 5… dang Seiko has too many to choose from… 🤯

·

I dont know if I'll ever get to six seikos. I'm pretty happy with my four. But if I were to add two more it would be the Grand seiko toge gmt Sbgm241 and the super rare seiko limited landmaster sbdx009. This way I have three seiko masters.

For those curious, the watches in the image are sbbn037, sbds001, sbgp001, and sbga469.

This would be the brand. Just not sure where I’d find the money..

If I am being more realistic Cartier or Seiko / GS would be very nice..

·

One expensive and one cheaper field watch, same with the divers and one dress watch. This is my current lineup of watches I wear daily 😁 I have 3 more Seikos (GMT + two 5 Sports). Since you asked for 6, I would add the GMT to the 6 watch collection 😃

A bit eclectic … keep eyeing up King Seikos but nothing doing … yet

It was a cunning ruse to lure out all these seiko perverts..... I think we got em boy wonder 🤣

You got some nice pieces in there. 👍

That's a really nice mix of dials 👍

I have quite a few Seiko watches but I wanted to show Citizen some love.

I don't have citizen, that blue GMT is nice, what model it that?

I also like their bullhead 🐂

OK, I’ll bite. How about 7 Tudors.

Still have one slot available. 😁

That's an odd number, your gonna have to send me one 🤣

Thank you! The 035 keeps me away from GS.

Step towards the light Carol Anne 👻

Very nice collection..but for me one brand would bore the heck out of me...I love finding other watches that i may or may not have heard of..But that is just me

·

No room at the Inn for my beloved 6139s, SKX007 or Navigator Timer demonstrates what a difficult mental exercise downsizing can be. This Seiko Six was chosen more to cover the most common scenarios while retaining a rich color palette rather than ranking my favorite half dozen Seikos. I'm certain tomorrow would yield a different outcome. First world problems!

If I had to pick only one brand for all 5 watches it would definitely have to be Rolex or Omega.

·

You make a good point - A 6 watch collection that does it all can be done with almost all of the luxury brands when price is no object.

While I consider my $375 Turtle fine for a rough day at the beach, for some income brackets a Lange Odyssius is that same kind of beater watch! 🫣😱

BTW - just saw vid on the Zeitwerk - what an awesome watch!

Yeah this was a bit of a fun bc most of us won't have this kind of money and I hope I never get to the stage when I consider a 100k watch (grey price) a beater.

Also, it's would be boring if you only have trinity level watches because other designs are cool or functions are needed.

Yeah, that Zeitwerk movement is sick and the whole concept is cool.

Yeah me too, they question was more hypothetical, I was lookin at my collection which is around 50% Seiko.

I thought if I could only keep 6, which would they be, some of the choices we because they have sentimental value as gifts & others were covering bases.

Today's choice might be different 😂

Tough to pick from these, but if I had too…

These would be my 6 from Seiko/Grand Seiko (which was really a brand under Seiko until recently).

For me it would also be seiko. I'm new to watches in general but the beauty of seiko dials are hard to match at any price point. My Watch collection needs different colours for different moods and different outifits. I still want good quality but it's nice when my watches match what I'm wearing 😆 So, using a mix of Seiko, Grand Seiko and King Seiko this is what my 6 piece would look like:

1-Seiko Presage Sharp Edge SPB227J

Image

The only one of these that I own. Wish the bracelet was better and that it had a gold seconds hand. I still love it though!

2-Grand Seiko SLGA007 "Lake Suwa"

Image

You've gotta chuck in a spring drive movement for a Seiko Collection. No other choice 😆 This is probably my favourite looking Grand Seiko tbh. Although I am worried about no micro adjustment hahaha

3-Seiko Alpinist SPB289 "Mystic Forest"

Image

Teal is my favourite colour and I really like this nod to the original Alpinist design. It's quite sharp and dressy. I love my dressy sport watches. Bonus points for the 200m of water resistance where I can just have fun with it and not water about it getting wet.

4-King Seiko SPB365 "Kameido Kikko"

Image

The tortoise shell pattern on the Dial is so cool! The watch itself has a very vintage vibe to it, which leads itself to differentiate itself to the rest of the collection which I appreciate. Also, brown and gold is a super subtle but warm combination.

5-Seiko Presage SARX029 "Urushi"

Image

I try to avoid all Black watches in general, because I wore JUST black for many, many years and I feel like it reflected my inner psyche. So I don't like wearing black as much anymore, BUT sometimes black has that timeless, sleek and smart look that works great with anything you wear. The Roman Numerals help with that classic look and makes the black Laquer dial more visual interest. I'd wear this as my dress watch.

6-Grand Seiko SLGH005 "White Birch"

Image

Had to go Grand Seiko again but this time getting a watch to fill that Hi-Beat movement slot. The original white birch is so beautiful and simplistic with white textured dial and blued seconds hand, I'd don't believe anyone would be mad to have this watch.

Red, Blue, Green, Brown, Black and White. I were to have a 7th, I'd choose an orange 😆 If I were not allowed any Grand Seiko, I'd replace the Lake Suwa with the Seiko Alpinist Ginza and then replace the other Alpinist for one of the new SKX 38mm divers coming out, either the Teal or the orange 😆 I dont know what would replace the Birch though, so I'd be stuck 😆

Of this dream collection though, I still plan on getting the King Seiko SPB365. Would change the bracelet but it's such a nice looking watch. It's movement probably doesn't make it worth the price but it's a silly hobby anyway and making silly decisions is par for the course 🤪

Maaan, some of the best homework I've done in a while 🤣 And thankyou! Hopefully some of these dials will find there way into my collection hahaha
