Which one to get?

Now I know both of them aren't true GMTs, but both are 39mm, under 12mm height, and under 1300 eur. So it's very intriguing.

At first I wanted to get the C63 with a white dial but it just screams explorer 2 for me.

I'm wondering which one's the best to get, looking at build quality, movement reliability, and also maintenance (I only know that the sellita on the C63 is quite the workhorse, don't really know about the soprod c125 on the Baltic), thanks!

I have the black dial CW. Bracelet is great and the applied indexes really pop. CW bracelets really make it hard for me to wear anything without on the fly micro adjustments.

No experience with Baltic, however. Have considered a couple of their models multiple times but never pulled the trigger. Good luck choosing!

For me the CW would have the edge in terms of movement & build quality. The Baltic has more of a vintage look but the CW has a more timeless look. Of the two I'd actually buy the CW but with the white dial,  as the comparison to the Rolex Explorer 2 doesn't bother me

I'm a huge Baltic fan.  Got the Bi-Compax 002, the HMS002, and the MR01 is on the way.  Amazing finishing, and the watches drip retro-cool.

You’re lucky to get the MR01! it’s a gem

I recommend the CW for all the reasons others have mentioned, as well as their 5 year warranty.

·

I would go with the CW. They are doing great things with there watches now. The price point you can't beat and I also like the colors. Good luck👍

·

I´d go for Baltic. In my opinion it looks better. Think its the small bezel on CW that puts me off…

·

Although it does remind of the polar Explorer II I believe the CW has its own unique looks and design and the quality is superb. As others have said, the bracelet is awesome.

I have the Sealander GMT polar too.  It’s fantastic. The fit is great for me, personally.

Both watches are superb and I don’t think you can make a ‘bad’ choice here. If it’s not ‘throwing a spanner in the works’ isn’t the CW Aquitane GMT the happy medium between these two?

Let us know how it goes!

·

I love the "Baltic vibes" and Etienne is a really nice guy, but would 100 times get the CW

·

I totally understand your struggle regarding the white dial and the movement, but I would go for the CW: being 51 yo the big orange arrow would be a big help to read the second time zone without spectacles and the green dial is gorgeous, plus I have to add the Baltic reminds me a lot the Timex GMT, no intention to belittle this watch I know their quality is great, but from distance I would think is the Q diver.

As someone else said, can't really make a bad choice but I'll give another vote for CW. Undeniably well made watches with excellent bracelets. I really like the direction of CW and they have an impressive catalogue.

The Baltic design simply isn't my cup of tea - I think the colors are just a bit muted and boring. This is subjective of course, so take with a grain of salt.

Both are real GMT’s. Not world timers mind you but as long as they have a 24 hour bezel and a second hour hand that can be set independently. Granted these are not as slick as a Rolex Exp II or GMT Master....

Yeah, I was just implying that office GMTs like those won’t be as simple to operate as true GMTs like the black bay pro or explorer 2.

I really like the look of the Baltic, however to me the CW is just more familiar and recognisable, again it depend on your preferences.

·

highly prefer the look of the Baltic.

I think the "real GMT" thing is weird price-based gatekeeping, like in house movements.

What is a REAL GMT?

What is a REAL GMT?

right...  As far as I can tell it's a way for people to feel better that they paid a shedload more for their watch because you can jump the 24hr hand in hour increments, or something like that.

Best I can tell, they both display an additional time zone.
