Years ago I bought a Moto 360 smart watch. After a few months I realized I was not really into it and sold it. To my surprise, I missed having something on my wrist and bought a 1974 Omega Megaquartz off ebay for cheap. Then I bought another...and another...and...
Q: Do you have a watch with a particularly interesting story behind it?
I really wanted to pick up a vintage gold watch for my wedding in 2018. For months I looked through auction sites and finally found a 1965/1966 Hamilton Dateline A-279 in solid 14k. That in itself is not that interesting. The amazing part is that the watch was unworn! The strap didn't even look like it had even been buckled. I am still shocked you can find a 50+ year old "new" watch still in its original box. I got it serviced (for the first time ever), put it on a longer strap and proudly wore it on my wedding day.
Q: What brands have been getting your attention lately?
Since I have gotten into watches I have been an Omega fan. I recently decided I will be picking up a Speedmaster for my 50th in a few years but recently I have been interested in vintage Omegas. I just picked up an 50-year old quartz DeVille that is getting a good bit of wrist time.
