Navigator Timer Reissue Thoughts? [SPB411]

This is the soon to be released Navigator Timer reissue. The details were just announced. It is going to be priced at $1500 USD and will include premium Seiko features such as the hardness coating, boxed sapphire crystal, and a nicer GMT movement. I personally love the vintage vibe that the watch has along with that beautiful grey tone dial. This watch has all the classic turtle charm while fitting into a compact 38mm frame. I think this one is going to be a hit for sure.

Whoa. That looks great if you ask me

·

It says water PROOF! I though that was a no-no in the watch making world? I’m assuming that first pic is the original, and the others are the reissue?

Also, looks like a killer piece, love it!!

Waited for the navigator reissue since the release of slim turtle and definitely picking this up once my AD has it up for pre-order.

The first picture is the original model from 1968.

I’d love to grab it to, I think 1500 is outside of my price range though. I was hoping this would more around the 800 mark but oh well I can’t wait for a used model

I wanted to get the MM200 GMT initially when it came out but I kept my hopes up the Navigator would be reissued someday when I saw the new gmt movement and the slim turtle release last year.

The standard slim turtle retails between $900-1200 depending on the model and I expected this to be priced higher. I usually get a discount from my AD so will hopefully get a decent deal.

Limited edition reissue 4000 pieces.

Gorgeous! A bit pricy imho. I could see myself trolling the used market for one sub-$1k, but it’s limited edition, so probably not gonna happen.

Yeah my thought exactly

·

Lovely design, a bit iffy on the price

·

Seiko make really cool stuff 👍🏼

Ok, that top, old top pic is kind of freaking me out, since I just discovered my old Timex Electric Dynabeat from the mid-70s that looks very similar. I need to get the right battery and get this guy running again!

We used to say waterproof in the old days. A waterproof watch was better than a water resistant watch. I can’t remember when water resistant became the norm.

That’s a sweet watch! No need to drop 1500 I guess!

·

😂 Thanks!

I think it looks great priced a little high but the 38mm doesn't appeal to me but I am sure it will to a lot of people. If they make a 40mm I am all in.

·

I like the plain black dial of the original, cool watch , I wonder what movement it will have 6R GMT movement I would guess .

·

Nice, but a bit overpriced.

I like the aesthetics. Would definitely purchase it with the bracelet. Not sure about 1.5k though.

You can just say 'Seiko'.

Just destroyed my impulse control. I'll be preordering this one.

Wow! Really nice.
