Minor points, but the SPB143 has a date complication and (in my opinion) a better bracelet option than the BB58. That said, they wear very similar and are both strap monsters.
I'd say try out a SPB143 to see if it can co-exist with your BB58, and if you want to sell it later, you won't loss your shirt. Cheers.
I'd keep a German watch in the collection. How about a Damasko DK30 (different dial options)? I've had a DS30 blue-dial in the past and they are compact and durable as they come.

Back in the day I remember Rolex AD's informing customers that the OP39's were the entry into the brand. They are robust, versatile, and meant to be just that; a gate-way into Rolex.
It's really unfortunate that this is no longer the case, where you can't find any Rolex steel models at AD's and the secondary market has gone crazy for the OP colors. Rolex could have many more loyal customers if these OP's were more widely available, but not I think many enthusiasts are going over to Omega or other brands to reach that entry point into Swiss luxury.
