What's the size? It looks big in the photo.

Big fan of DD "style" watches,

·

That's awesome, looks in great condition, wear it with pride.

·

If that is the original dial that is an absolutely fantastic looking watch. If it’s a redial it’s still fantastic👌

·

Very 😎

Big fan of DD "style" watches,

They’re all 36mm, must be the macro lens on my phone or my skinny wrist 😂

Yeah it’s the original dial, apparently the latter ones dropped the brand name and replaced it with the MoD reference. The back reference doesn’t match the watch number, which was also common when they went back for servicing. There is a scratch inside the crystal (on the bottom right) but I don’t want to replace it.

Very nice Eamon!

Yes, it’s a new NATO, there is wear on the back case from the original strap. I’m also on the hunt for a Sand coloured NATO.

Super cool!!!

·

Nice! Was it worn during the war?

·

Holy smokes what a fantastic example. Finding one of these is impossible nowadays

Love this watch, I have three of the dial variations.

Image

Not a great picture but the one on the left is an original dial, on the right is the MoD dial which still says RECORD but has a different sub second dial.

The one you have is known as the NATO dial.

The numbers on the dial are the numerical stores number.

·

1 down 11 to go. 😍

·

Gorgeous watch.
