New from Lorier...
The Astra.
36mm
100m WR.
I do like it very much, but not enough to trigger pull.
I'm going to wait for @Ichibunz to buy one and give his review ๐

Just got the notification also...nice but 36mm is too small for me
Love the watch, but Iโd still put it under the Falcon & Neptune. Canโt wait to order the Falcon for my bday
The blue version is gorgeus. I'm currently watching Mad Men and Miss Maisel, so I've been lusting over some retro 60's watches with a fun color pattern, this one really got me excited.
I really like it both in white and blue. Playing with lume so the watch changes completely in the dark is very nice. And as always you have to give props to the Lorier designers for having a great understanding of vintage watches and adding little touches like the roulette date wheel. Those things make their watches stand out from the crowd.
You want it SMALLER than 36mm??
Arguably the best case size ๐
Smashing. If I were allowed to change things, I wish they were more inspired to use the Rolex handset, and more inspired by the Universal Geneve bracelet. Love the lume fest, love everything else.
I like it but not enough to pull the trigger either. I would still go Neptune if ordering a Lorier. I do like what they did with the dial lime on this nice touch.

It is definitely staying true to its vintage styling in the size choice.
I do wonder why companies don't bring out a variety of sizes for their models. Say, 36 and 39/40mm for this one?
I can't believe it could make that much difference to production costs to a fairly established company like Lorier who know they are going to be able to shift their watches.

Yes, I think you are spot on with that, but I would struggle to pick a favourite out of the Falcon and Neptune. Both real lookers!

I loved Mad Men!
Gave me an unhealthy desire to day-drink whiskey though ๐

Absolute spectacular watches! Iโm only choosing the Falcon over the Neptune so I can get a Baltic diver watch down the line

Agreed. They walk the line of inspiration/homage incredibly well.

Oh that is a wise move!
@AnalogExplorer 's wrist shots have me lusting after the Baltic divers.
Muahahha!! Got the email today too โฆ ๐
Tell me how it goes!
I like it but I am biased owning there watches. I tend toward white dial watches so I like it and I find the blue and white one also very beautiful. I like the bracelet as well, however, once again, biased due to the fact that I have gotten to try it already. I prefer this over the Falcon, however if I was starting my watch journey over again I think this White Astra and Black Falcon is a great one two punch.
I won't be pulling the trigger on this since I don't need it, but I do want to see one in person, especially that lume.
EDIT: Forgot to mention that the white dial version reminds me of the silver dial Lorca GMT model 01
It's my favorite design from them yet. Indeed it's the first time I'm really tempted to get one.
I really like these. Will definitely pick one up. Lorier is one of the best at capturing that vintage vibe imho.
It is a bit ridiculous with the plexiglass on new watch of this styling. This isn't something worn in situations where shattering is a problem.
It's nice to look at but, without having seen it in person, I would think the straight lugs make it very awkward to wear (almost regardless of wrist size) especially on a bracelet. In the second image at 6 o'clock the bracelet end link makes a crease which seems inevitable if the lugs are "hovering" over the wrist... I don't like that.

My thoughts exactly. If it were a bit bigger. 38-39 and Iโd buy it in a heartbeat

Agree
Size aside which doesnโt work for me, something seems proportionally off about the tbh was and length of the hands. Throw in the lolipop second and Iโm just not feeling it unfortunately.
please be sapphire crystal... and ah dang it.
This is my favorite second favorite watch Release today and ill probally get it
I have a Neptune and the Falcon should arrive next month. This is a beautiful watch, but the other two are more my style
If I didnโt already have the Falcon S3 Iโd be SERIOUSLY considering this. This is my second Lorier, Iโve previously owned a Neptune S3. If I wasnโt saving to purchase a Tudor BB54 Iโd be leaning towards owning a third Lorier. They keep knocking it out of the park.
Lorier is slowly becoming a favorite of mine. Having own exactly zero of there watches. Soon...soon.
I definitely see the Polerouter's influence on this one...
Straw poll: who actually grabbed one of these then?
