Your Prettiest Watch

My prettiest watch for sure is this stunning Hamilton in 14K WG I inherited from my Grandma. She passed in 1985 at the age of 96, so it’s an old watch!

It runs great…I had it serviced by Mt. Olympus Clock Shop in Millcreek, UT a few years back.

Nice.

I don't really have any. Hope to get one soon.

This is the best finished watch I own (3 watches total) but I'm not even sure I'll keep it long term.

Sweet! The Casio Lineage line is tops! It has blown my mind, by the many Casio watches I have owned over the years, how damn nice of a watch they make at each price point.

This is my 18k gold Richmond Weil inherited from my grandad. I'm not really sure how old it is.

·

I have a nearly identical Hamilton. It runs, but I feel like it should be serviced.

Wow! The case is so beautiful with that art deco fluting!

Oh nice! It‘s great to know another Cruncher has one. I recommend it the servicing.

What a beauty!

I'm trying to think what my prettiest watch is...  Maybe this "Big Rose" from Tudor:

Image

The flower at 12 is applied, and in real life its quite captivating.  If I'm being honest, it's not officially my watch - it's part of my wife's collection - but I've worn it more than her.

One of my all-time top grails is an incredibly pretty watch though...  check this out:

Midnight Pont des Amoureux watch, 18K white gold, Front, Watch

The retrograde minute and hours complication brings the couple together at noon and midnight; in other words, they kiss twice a day.  :)

I just have to find someone to do it. The movement is so small I have a feeling a lot of watchmakers would pass

Now that is incredibly charming! I have never seen a watch like the Van Cleef.

For me it has to be my GS SLGH009. It’s just so shiny and angular.

From the 1990s. (Also, a gift from my wife, who is the prettiest woman in my life.)

Did you know that Raymond Weil, prior to founding his eponymous watch brand in 1976, was the Managing Director of the Swiss watchmaker Camy (he joined Camy in 1949)?

Camy which was founded in 1913 in Grenchen also had the following brands within its maison...Camy, Cronel, Enzo and Mirexal. The watches branded Camy Geneva are from the period of time when Raymond Weil was the Managing Director.

Here are a couple of vintage references...

Beautiful Hamilton...timeless beauty there.

I cherish it. As a little kid, my grandma to me was always firm but fair…unwavering in her achieved caste. So, I am proud to have this kind of tangible memory of her.

I don't have any "pretty" watches in the collection, but these references designed by Andrew Grima might fit the bill...

I did purchase this DeLaneau ring watch for my wife...my guess is this qualifies as pretty...

The ring watch is amazing! The pave’ and filigree work! And it’s amazing how they cut such soft stones as emeralds into leaves!

Great watch! I love it when I get the chance to see family heirlooms passed down from generation to generation. Sentimental value is a real thing!

That’s the Swiss Shield. Is that a Wenger?

Wow that is so lovely!

No, it's a Second Hour Mandela. It is an Australian brand, and this particular watch is beautifully made. Took me over a year to track down a used one at a reasonable price
