What is Your Tiniest Watch?

My 32mm Kit-Cat watch came as a bonus when I bought my Kit-Cat clock in the early 1990’s. Though my amiable clock has since gone the way of the world…my diminutive watch remains.

Those were the best of times for me. I was young, strong and hell for leather.

Though I have since ripened like a Durian fruit, I strap this little duckling to my 7 1/4” wrist when I want to reminisce of the good old days. Indeed…it is my veritable Balm of Gilead.

What is your smallest watch you may still wear despite its dainty diameter and why?

I like small watches. They're super comfortable and easy to wear. I also don't have to worry about the lugs getting caught in a doorway.

But my wrist is only around 6.25" so I don't have much choice in wearing big watches anyway.

This is my smallest and cheapest watch, a 34mm Seiko Type II Quartz from 1980.

It’s obvious why…

Despite?

I'm pretty sure it's a tie between this 90's quartz Mickey by Lorus and an inherited 50's jeweler's private label hand winder, both 32mm of joy.

They look huge as I didn't do zoom from arm's length to fix perspective issues.

This Bimesa. I do own it, but I don’t wear it. It has a fully working mechanical movement inside.

Hamilton Piping Rock Handwinder (re-issue from the 90's)

29mmx41mm

Normal size for 1928.

If it was good enough for Ruth and Gherig it's good enough for me.

Fabulous! I dare say both you and @Aurelian may contend for owning the most handsome classic pieces with the proof of grand patina.

You own so many watches with elusive brands apparently lost in the ocean of the past. It’s always impressive to see a new one pop up from your showings. This one I do not remember ever seeing before.

Did I win? 😃

Vintage WWII era Bulova small seconds military watch. I believe it is 30mm or 31mm. It is older than me and still works. That is why I wear it occasionally. 😉

It is a Wyler. It is a great nearly forgotten Swiss brand.

If that watch could only tell you where it’s been!

My tiniest watch would be my Movado Museum quartz, at only 31mm, with lug-to-lug of 36.5mm, and thinness of 5.5mm. Many enthusiasts will dismiss this as a fashion watch, but there is something about the clean minimalist design that really appeals to me.
