I regret selling this watch.

If you are considering selling a watch that you kinda like, don’t. That’s it. That’s the post.

You can buy it back, this not a impossible to buy watch 👍🏻

·

I sold a few watches that I had doubles of and I still ponder whether that was wise for how I collect. After all I liked them enough to buy two...

·

I sold my divers 65, the same dial as yours. I’ve not missed mine at all. Compared to the Aquis it felt like a cheap watch and not worth the cost. Not my reason for selling it but to call a watch a divers 65 with 100m of water resistance I thought rather odd when all/most divers watches from other brands far exceed 100m including the Aquis. (I know that 100m is absolutely fine for swimming/showering etc so the 100m itself is not a technical problem).

·

Ive never sold a watch but have given many away. I don't regret any but I do miss them. I have a rule of never buying the same watch twice which I do regret.

·

Not to rub it in, but that’s a great looking watch that’s on my perpetual want list. As for not selling, you’re preaching to the choir. I’m sure I’ll regret selling any watch I don’t hate. Hopefully you can replace it at some point.

·

It's part of the sport, making several iterations of the same watch, until you declare your eternal love and keep it forever.

·

That’s great advise.

Thank you 🤛

·

That's heartbreaking. 💔 I sold my first automatic watch a few months back. It was a Seiko 5 with a black case that I was never truly happy with. Letting it go gave me a sense of freedom instead. What do you miss the most about your Diver 65?

I regret many things in life. Parting with a watch not so much.

There was a reason why you left that ex. You may not remember those reasons. Because only the good times remain in memory. Pain fades. But…doesn’t mean they are gone.

Until the next lifetime I say.

I do like the Aquis as well. I like the feel and how it wore. The dial was the best iteration of the 65 line. I thought I’d wear this more than I did which is why I sold it.

i regret selling every watch. 😢

·

Usually I won't sell a watch I like, why would I do that?

·

Had this exact watch, didn’t wear it, sold it and have never regretted it. You can’t be emotionally attached to every watch in your collection.

·

That’s a great one.

·

Agreed.

Not the whole collection. Only the top 20-30.

If I come across one at a reasonable price again I’ll do it.

Did you also sell it at reasonable price?

·

For better or worse, I never sell watches for this exact reason. At one point, I liked the watch enough to buy it. If it falls out of rotation or gets overlooked by newer stuff, that's okay. I'm sure I'll come back around on it in the future.

And if not, well, it's not hurting anything by sitting in a box. 😀

·

Same here🙁

·

Hooray for hoarders that never sell stuff 😁

I have a rule. It it hasn’t been worn in a year, I do t need it.

$850.

For preety much same amount you can get it again so go for it if remorse is that big

·

Was debating buying it... Today!... but I told myself that I needed to sell some before getting anything else...
