My FIL was gifted this pocket watch years ago. He pulled out of hiding on Easter and asked me about it. Other than it being a RR watch, I don’t know much about it.

Anyway, I was excited to see how clean the movement was and that it still ran 100+ years on in age.

I thought this got rolled into (acquired by) Elgin, but I looked it up and this company was bought by Hamilton in 1928. This is an amazing piece of history and technology. Thanks for sharing!!!!

I would love to see more pictures!

I would also get it serviced if it has not been done for sometime. Oils can dry up and it would be a shame to not keep it going well long into the future.

I would guess this to be a true RR watch with high accuracy. It says it is adjusted in 3 positions and the swan neck regulator on the balance help to keep the time from drifting. Lovely piece!
