I was browsing Amazon and looking for a good deal on a AE-1200 when suddenly this thing popped up.
O M G...
it's just like a the faceplates on one of the fancy Hi-Fi stereo receivers from the 70's that I lusted after when I was a kid. I can almost see myself trying to use it as an FM tuner to catch the latest hit parade.
It's so gaudy and retrofugly that I had to be physically restrained before I bought a whole bunch of them on the spot. Yes I want the gold!! It has tracks on the display, goddamnit, tracks!!

I'm a big fan of watches that are interesting because they are either unique, have interesting features, well designed or simply offer a great value for their price.

They do one in a similar style that has a built in infrared remote control. Given the price of a second hand Casio, they’re possibly worth it.
I am currently trying vainly to resist this very thing. Buying a whole bunch is actually a great approach, so you can bring others along with you. Love it. Enjoy!

I can’t unsee that, but it’s sort of ugly cool. Definitely a conversation starter! Maybe not a great watch to wear to your first date/job interview/first dinner with future in-laws sort of watch 😂

I refer you to my review of a very similar model by Lige. I doubt the Skmei is any different. On AliExpress you can get it for about half the Amazon price.

crazy.. I had never seen anything like this before yesterday.. Then I was texting with my buddy, talking about watches (he's not really into them like me, but does have a couple), and he shows me this (photo below)... which.. appears to be pretty much the same watch in your post, minus the gold?! So weird! (the watch and the coincidence!) But yeah, WTF is this thing? It's sorta cool... I guess....?

A GMT watch to end all GMT watches. No more looking at the 24 hour markers in confusion! You can sweat on it and apparently it will lead you to the edge of sports fashion! Right up the the edge!
