“Though he be mad, there is method in’t” Hamlet, Act II, Scene 2.

I want to wear all my watches. I have too many watches.

The topic of how one rotates their watches came up in a recent post, and I thought I’d share my method.

Each watch in my collection has an assigned number. Each morning, I use an online random number generator to pick a watch as my wild card pick for the day. I put a check by that watch on my list. If that watch is selected randomly again, I will select the next watch down the list that doesn’t yet have a check. When all watches have a check, then the list will reset.

I wear three watches each day: the wild card watch and two others I have chosen. Minimum wear time for each watch is four hours, but it usually breaks down with one watch getting 8 hours of wrist time and the other two getting four each.

Yeah I know that probably all sound pretty crazy… does anyone else have a system like this?

I need a system! ;-)

Tbh I found myself just wearing what I want, this makes me sad as half of my collection is unworn, but the heart wants what it wants, so I don’t force myself to wear every single piece but I do rotate often

I had never given it much thought before WRUW on the Crunch. But now all I do is look back at my original rotation from when I started posting on it and continue the same pattern (mostly)

You most certainly DO NOT have too many watches. You have a shortage of wrists.

So true. The universe can be cruel and uncaring…

Fair. I do feel that if I have to compel myself to wear a watch it’s a clear sign I need to sell it or give it away.

I usually wear the watch that best goes with my outfit or the task at hand but doing that does leave some watches unworn. At least a random number generator does give each watch a turn. Although I do have an orient Bambino that I bought when I started this journey and now it just sits there. Just sad.

Problem is, I’ve had selling regrets which is why I’m holding on to all of them

I mean, that's all you need right there. Lol
