Just curious, is this on your radar?

Here is the Studio Underd0g ‘Steffani’ field design.

I just fell for it, and (resigned sigh) it’s going on The List… I’ll need a bucketload of money to realize that list!

What’s up with the two screws

I believe it is holding the additional sapphire crystalnover the luminous base.

Seems to give the dial depth and the appearance of things floating. YMMV.

Good point, those screws are annoying me

·

Having seen these in person, I can agree that they are really lovely.

You get over the two screws very quickly when you see what they do to add dimension to the rest of the watch. It is quite stunning in person.

At least the screws are aligned, unlike Cartier and AP 🤣

Thanks for that, now I’m looking at the photo and they don’t look parallel to the strap ends. Never realized I had OCD 🤦🏻‍♂️

I have seen other brands do it without the screws kind of seems like a cheap pit way to do it. Couldn’t have been the most graceful way possible

·

Not a SU fan - just doesn’t do it for me from design aesthetics

·

My list also needs a large lottery win.

·

This watch is very cool, Studio Underdog had been on my radar since the Watermelon bi-compax. But this dial is awesome, a big part of that awesomeness is the sandwich dial where the upper layer is clear with the numbers and right below it is a disk of pure lume! It's going to look great in low light.

·

They're kind of interesting but it's not on my radar as far as a purchase. I tried one on recently and they're different and the colors are fresh. Not my style though.

·

You've just missed the purchase window.. they were open for orders for 8 hours last Sunday (UK time)..

Think the look they were going for was more tool-y hence the screws.

Plus it would be one more thing to cast shadow I guess?

In fact, I saw the designer discuss the screws. They were an inevitability! It was his only solution, so it was made into a feature. I like it, but yes, it’s divisive.

Simple, but those hands set it off.

Ha! Yes, it was your post that really caught my eye! 😂 Thanks!

·

Loved their first watch, the playful watermelons and mint chocolate chips. This one, not so much. A bit too plain and uninspiring.

·

There is lovely depth to the dials of these field watches…recommended!

Not a super expensive watch. You'll be alright. Set goals and achieve them with patience.

·

One of them brands I just don't get the hype for. Really dislike the chronograph's.

·

I appreciate the overall design and get the functionality part of screws on the dial but can't get pass the design. If they would be made like hour markers or something fine but not like this

·

It’s a fun watch. If you get a chance, worth seeing them in person. Each of the dials has its own charm.

Nah. It’s nice to look at and try on but nah

Fair enough!

I like this way better than the watermelon personally.

Yeah, me too. 😀
