2 of the three yes, although both are cheat answers. We were both wearing F91ws  which are everywhere. And for the third one he was wearing a 2 toned blue subby, around £30k on the grey Market. Why you'd spend 30k on a standard subby ill never know but hayho

I have NEVER seen anyone with a modded watch or a mod build in real life out in the world, but I do live in the middle of nowhere.

Never encountered anyone with the same watch on as me, EVEN CASIOS.....

My pops doctor has a day date, Id say its worth more than 10k ;)

No-No-Yes

  1. No
  2.  Yes, a Sinn 556
  3. Walking out of the Aus GP last weekend and saw a guy with a 44mm Yachtmaster II casually walking up to catch a tram.
·
  1.  yes, a modded sea urchin
  2. no
  3.  yes, rolex submariner, deep sea, datejust, ap royal oak
·

1. Yes, modded SKX (shocker lol)

2. Yes, but kinda cheating as my wife and I have the same watch which are seiko monsters on uncle seiko razorwire bracelets

3. Yes, quite a few times actually but my most memorable was a gentleman wearing an AP Royal Oak Offshore Chronograph at an extreme mountain biking park in the Alps. Sent my head spinning trying to figure out why someone would do that until I came to the conclusion of "because he can."

·

Yes my own

Yes casio's are all over this area

Yes my sister traded a drug dealers engagement in on an expensive Rolex years ago when things went south. He got busted soon after.

No-No-Yes

Same

My college best friend's father was a very successful attorney. Everyone in the family wore Day-Dates.

Have been working in hospitals for over three decades. A gazillion Rolexes and Omegas over $10K

·

Yes, but my own modded watches.

When I daily drove my Instinct Solar. Popular here for us ‘gun guys in the outdoors’

Smart watches are popular here, don’t think I’ve ever met anyone wearing anything fancier than a Speedy

·

Yes, a Seiko SKX with a domed sapphire crystal and a ceramic bezel insert.

Yes, my G Shock GMWB5000. While G Shocks and even square G Shocks are fairly common, the G Shock Steel are more rare, so it stuck in my mind to see someone else wearing one when I had mine on.

I think so? I'm not sure. Maybe? It was a Rolex Datejust, but I am not sure of the reference number, as I only saw it briefly. I am sure it had the Rolex logo and indices rather than Arabics or Roman numerals and a fluted bezel. I know some Datejust models are over 10k and some are well below 10k.

·

I wore my own modded watches

No i haven't and my watches are all seiko, casio, or orient

I live in the area where ppl are pretty loaded so sometimes i go on a walk with my g-shock, i saw someone wore their submariner or day date

·
  1. Yes most days when I look at my own wrist or on the wrist of someone I know well enough to get a gift from me.
  2. Not exactly I see G-Shocks when I'm wearing mine but I don't think I've seen the exact same one I was wearing at the time
  3. Kind of I know a guy with a Rolex Hulk but I think he scored it for around $8k back when Rolex Prices were only kinda nuts not completely insane.
·

My answer is No for the first two questions and Yes for the third, one of my cousins was wearing a day date so I guess it was worth more than 10k

·

1 - Never seen a modded watch

2 - I've seen a Tudor BB58 blue to my black. Does that count?

3 - Certainly. Plenty of Rolexes and Royal Oaks... The occasional Hublot.

·
  1. Yes – Seiko "Yachtmaster"
  2. Yes – Red dial Oris Big Crown Pointer Date
  3. Yes – One that I can know for sure at least: 41mm Rolex Sub /w date
·

1. No

2. No

3. Yes- sat next to a couple wearing Rolex Cellinis on the last flight I went on. His was yellow gold and had a really attractive contrasting dark green crocodile leather strap!

·

1.- Yes, a clerk at a Best Buy in Miami (modded SKX) and I started a conversation with him, he was a watch nerd too

2.- I don't think so

3.- Yes, I've seen almost every hyped watch in Miami: Richard Mille, Nautilus, Aquanaut, Royal Oak, Daytona, GMT with factory set diamonds, and of course, the greatest of them all: Hublot

·

Yes.... Lots of moded Seikos

Yes, Rolex Subs

Yes, plenty of them... God almost everywhere I go, I will at least saw someone wearing Rolex Sub or some kind. So now I stop wearing one...

·
  1. does my personal modded skx count? lol
  2. saw someone with an skx at the grocery store not too long ago
  3. i do AC service and maintenance at many of the resort homes here on the big island. I’ll regularly see our high end clients wearing something impressive. Most recently a client was wearing a rose gold cartier santos. Killer watch
·

No, no, and no 😬

·
  1. No
  2. The closest I came was at a conference I was attending, a guy at my table was also wearing a Speedmaster Pro, but he had the sapphire and I had the Hesalite.
  3. At conferences and client meetings, I’ve seen more than I can count.
·

I haven't seen anyone wearing a modified watch IRL. Or more than likely I haven't noticed.

Sometimes I'll see someone wearing a G Shock, but I'll be wearing a different G. If they seem cool I'll mention, most people love that that their watch gets noticed.

A few weeks ago I noticed a guest at work wearing a nice watch, so I said, "whoa, nice watch. Can I ask what you got on?" A very nice Rolex Submariner, said he got it in the 90s "when you could get one!" He bemoaned  the modern price point. And a couple of nights ago at a fancy tiki bar, a group of people asked me to take their picture and when I handed the guy back his phone I noticed a very nice watch, but it seemed like everyone in the group wanted to leave and so I didn't want to start a conversation on esoteric wrist wear where we'd be almost yelling at each other over the music.

·
  1. I’ve seen a few modded Casios and Seikos.
  2. If you’ve ever worn an Apple Watch you’ve definitely seen someone else wearing the same one!
  3. The nicest watch I’ve ever seen in the wild was an Aquanaut…I didn’t get close enough to know exactly which one it was.  I’ve seen more Rolexes than I could count, but have only seen a handful of APs.

oddly enough I have never owned a smartwatch.

I did in a time in my life that I'd like to not speak about! 😂

·

Never seen a modded watch

No... mine are somewhat different and most of the People I work with use quartz Tag Heuers

Yes... a friend has a colecction of Hublots, a Sang Bleu is the one that stands out... also has an all gold Datejust, as investment

·

I've never gotten close enough to notice if  a watch I saw a was modded, unfortunately

I actually have a coworker with the same metal bracelet Casio Royale as me lol

I've probably seen 3 or 4 the most expensive was a Nautilus Aquanaut I saw on a guy at a sushi place that looked like he was on a first date.

·

(1) yes if you count my Seiko. Otherwise, no.

(2) yes I used to all the time since the 2 tone 36mm Datejust was everywhere in the 90s (not so much these days).

(3) yes because I see a decent amount of  Rolexes out and about (aren’t they basically all 10k now after market). Most expensive one I saw recently was a Gold sub with blue dial worn by a guy at Costco.

·

Triple nope but in reality I may have seen any of either the modded or the five figure and just not realized it.
