Had an opportunity to visit one of the world wonders, Machu Picchu. Of course I had to pick a watch to experience it with. Ended up throwing my BB58 on a canvas strap.
If I had to choose just one - and I usually travel with several - I'd probably pick this Baltany. It's a tough automatic that looks like a Hamilton. If damaged beyond repair in some bizarre accident, I'd just get another one. Fantastic watch!
It depends what the travel is, really. For vacation, it’s my Seiko SFK001. It’s a GMT, it has a diver bezel, good water resistance, and it’s a solar quartz. So it handles adventuring well. If it gets banged about, say scrambling over rocks while hiking or when jumping into a pool 🤷🏾♂️ oh well. It also looks good with the curves and the shimmery dial.
It’s not for the faint of wrist though!
If it’s a more work-oriented trip, I go with another dive GMT, my Omega Seamaster Pro GMT, as it’s great in any situation:
I took a Timex Iron Man with me up there. Incredible experience. It was before I was this far down the rabbit hole. Nowadays pretty random what I bring on vacation. Kind of depends on whether or not I’m seeing family (sentimental watches heirlooms etc)…also leaning away from travel Rollies.

The gmt with inner 24 hour scale + dive bezel is a great combo for travel
Been taking the alpinist on vacation lately. Good water resistance, works well on outdoor activities and going out to dinner. Green and gold is more versatile in person than it looks in photos online. It doesn’t look out of place whatever I’m wearing or doing. It also attracts surprise compliments from watch nerds.

G-Shock and I took one up there with me too!
Usually it’s my U50 or a Gshock. But always depends on the trip. Amazing view of Machu Picchu. Bucket list location. Very nice 👌

Depends on the location.
If I were touring Machu Picchu - great photo - I would want something lighter and thinner like a GMT instead of a chronograph.
If I am travelling to another city, then I will wear a chronograph per usual.
I have a desire to take a safari train trip in 🇿🇦, during which I hope to wear the #seiko SARF012.
Dressy enough for dinner but resilient enough with its titanium for a day in the bush looking at animals.
Black Bay Pro. Has already been to UAE and Colorado this year.
The strap looks gorgeous with your watch. Nice work op
Seiko LX and Ginza (the fat lugs of Seiko divers are virtually unbreakable)
What make of strap is that?any more pics of it?
nice background
Nice watch.
Have a great and safe trip. 🤠

Casio Tough Solar
Mine is the Hamilton Murph 38mm! Got some good memories with this one.
Pelagos FXD!
Gshock with solar and mb6
Usually my Omega Planet Ocean.
2 watches, with this typically being one of them.

I only have one watch right now, that I wear, so it goes everywhere with me. I'm awaiting a GMT, when that arrives, this one may be retired...

It’s StapHabit’s Premium Sailcloth with Quick Release in Khaki
If traveling out of the country one of my Citizen or Orient watches.

Trusty Gshock
Can’t go wrong with a G Shock!
Mine is either: (1) Rolex Explorer II 226570 or (2) Tudor Black Bay Chrono Panda 🐼
5600;g shock world time and tough as I usually surf on holidays, and unlikely to attract the wrong attention.

Amazing options! I’m too afraid to wear my Rolex on a trip due to fear of unwanted attention and theft unfortunately.
