Talisman; waxing poetic

We are not supposed to wax poetic about a watch.  A watch is just a tool.   I purchased a Seiko SRPJ45 a month or two ago to scratch an itch, and I fo...

I love me a Seiko, but I also don’t need 3 Seikos, I would probably go with the Tudor…maybe.

That color is awesome on this watch.

commented on Is your box nice and tidy? :D ·

My box is currently empty cause it’s packed away for my move and my 4 watches will travel with me on the plane, but knowing my habits, it will not be tidy.

I just received the marble dialed SN0129B, I’ve only had it for 2 full days now so I can’t offer a very reliable review yet. I did slam it fairly hard against a door yesterday and no scratches but that may be just luck.

I am curious to its QC as well as this may be my everyday watch for quite awhile.

commented on How many watches do you bring on your business trips? ·

No matter what trip I make only one watch goes with me.

commented on What do you do with your watches when travelling abroad? ·

When I travel I just go with one on my wrist.

I’m moving this summer and my 4 watch collection will be 3 watches in a travel case in my carry on and 1 on the wrist.

commented on Would you rather have 1 $4,000 watch? Or 3+ cheaper watches totaling $4,000? ·

If these are my only choices I would pick up the 1 $4000 watch. However, i would probably find me a used Grand Seiko for under $4000.

If I had a budget of $4000, I would buy me one more San Martin and then take a trip with the rest of the money.
