How do you feel about Breitling?

This is the Breitling premier Tourbillion in Platinum, I think that Breitling is making big changes in the good way since Georges Kern took over. Fresher looks, more size options, less polish. What do guys think about the brand?

Recently had a visit to the local Breitling boutique, one thing that's clear to me is, all new models (Navitimer, Premier, Top Time, Super Ocean) are aesthetically pleasing, with lots of visual strikes that gives a degree of fineness to them and well worth the price they're asking for.

Seems like the baseline of new Breitling is: Good looking, and maximise the use of the in-house B01

Blimey, nice watch!! I think they make some lovely watches, especially the premier range. The salmon calendar and pistachio dials are beautiful. Not a brand I associate with platinum and tourbillons. Impressive!!

·

As i d never be able to get my paws on a breitling i ve got no opinion about the brand itself

Breitling has been a bit hit and miss for me. 2 models I really like and considering buying are the new Superocean 42mm and the top time triumph edition.

Nice watch!

I really liked the breitling premier chronos, but that's because it looks exactly like Patek's 5172G! Same syringe hands, same-ish font, same colors!

I do like their pistachio green color, which is pretty unique.

Triumph isn't really new. It has a closed back vs new open ones. Do you think they will update triumph as well? I'll waiting to pull a trigger on this as well but would rather have an open caseback.

I just love the dial. I’m not too fussed about the case back on that particular watch. Also I don’t have any chronos so it will fit in nicely with my collection. Trouble is the limited supply means it’s hard to source and the values aren’t falling 🤦🏻‍♂️

I'm a sucker for Breitling. One of my first positive experiences at a watch dealer was at a jeweller that stocked primarily Breitling, so I left that day with ample reading material, leading me to fall in love with the brand. I can say without a shadow of a doubt that the Breitling Premier B25 Datora is the best watch I've handled in person (I don't handle all too many watches, so it probably doesn't mean that much.)

I love the direction they're taking. I didn't know that they even did a tourbillon! They have some great colours and some rather sexy shapes in my eyes. They're definitely making waves and showing that they're not just Navitimers. For me, they're further up on my wishlist than ever before. I hope they keep going on this way and don't move too upmarket and stay true to their identity. No complaints from me!

Absolutely love that Breitling is focusing on rebranding themselves as the classy brand instead of overmarketing their sports range. They're really focusing more on the horological craftsmanship and I think watch enthusiasts really love this direction they're headed down.

I'm a big Breitling fan. The Navitimer was one of the first watches I lusted after before actually diving into the hobby hard core. Since then, I have been genuinely interested in many pieces from the brand, some haven't been sized appropriately for my wrist, but still interesting nontheless. I've had the B01 Premier Chrono with the pistacio dial on my wrist and it was tremendous. What a great watch. Unfortunately, just a bit out of my price range and I'm not a chronograph guy per se. But I am also smitten with the Chronomat GMT. I realize it's $5,600 using an ETA movement, but it's chronometer spec with a great size for my wrist. I can see myself getting one down the road after I save up a bit. I'm sure I can get a slight discount on that watch from an AD or just go grey market for about $4,500. That's something I can get behind.

Count me as a fan.

I've always been a big fan of Breitling, even since I was a kid. But I agree, since 2017 the brand has only gotten stronger and stronger 👍

·

I think they are doing alright at the moment. Many great chronos and some of their 90s designs are back in style. The Breitling for Bentley days have slightly ruined the brand for me sadly. They were the opposite of understated during that time and represented a show off culture that I always hated in the luxury watch space.

·

Had 2 breitling, super ocean chrono which I traded for a Bremont and still have the aerospace Evo night mission,I tried on the new super ocean 42 ,whilst being a very nice watch I found it too glossy/shiny it could have been all the lights in the boutique

·

Breitling have some of the best looking watches in the industry in my opinion.

·

I really luv many of the new models. Great designs, colors, finishes. I purchased a new Super Ocean with the ceramic bezel insert and it’s incredibly well finished. I own a vintage first gen Bi-Metal Aerospace and a Colt SkyRacer in Breilight. All great timepieces.

brietling is a brand I enjoy seeing other people wear. They’re too shiny and polished for me but I like seeing them in the wild.

·

You are absolutely right.. and the tourbillion 😍

·

I absolutely agree Breitling is turning the brand around and recapturing hearts under Kern. From your list, smaller dial options ranks highest for me. 🤙
