This idea came to me just as I was closing up the office. Ok lets have those nominations for great tunes worthy to release as a channel to play on a long road trip: Preferences are first for those tunes about watches (natch) then clocks (yes, Coldplay if you insist) and then time in general.
I nominate the following for the time category because its the best song on the best album I received when I signed up for the Columbia House Record Club "Select 12 Albums for 1 Cent" deal I got suckered into back in 1978 when I was 12.
For the young'uns a little backgrounder:

Well Done, Sir, so submitted for the record! 🤝
The record! C'mon, I made, I say, I made a funny, son, laugh! 😂

Yes, great, a live version, thanks for this! Very cool to see the interplay of the band and the period instrumentation!😎

Ahh Culture Club. The year was 1983. I bought a Mura Hi-Stepper (Think cheap Sony Walkman, but just AM-FM Stereo) and the fidelity of the flimsy foam headphones blew away the '65 The Fisher FM stereo receiver and the mission control style headphones jacked into it!
Culture Club sounded really good!
David Bowie - Time (on Aladdin Sane, '73) I wouldn't know where to start with the meaning of this one, definitely worth a listen!
Yes, thats one for the rotation!
Time After Time - Cyndi Lauper
It's Time - Imagine Dragon
Yesterday - Beatles
It's So Hard to Say Goodbye to Yesterday - Boyz II Men
One Sweet Day - Mariah Carey
Sparks - Beat The Clock (absolute classic, produced by Giorgio Moroder)
Love & Rockets - Haunted When the Minutes Drag

You could make a case to include the Beatles "A Day in the Life" from Sgt Pepper due to this stanza and accompanying sound effects:
Woke up, fell out of bed,
Ran a comb across my head,
Made my way downstairs and and had a cup,
and looking up, I noticed I was late...

not a song but we can’t talk about musical artists and time without mentioning:

Can’t believe no one mentioned this one yet! Always makes me think of time (travel).

That movie is a pop culture giant of a topic in and of itself! With respect to watches, clocks, and time: Marty McFly wears a classic Casio Calc watch, the DeLorean time machine has an LED readout, the Clock Tower is struck by lightning that supplies the 1.21 Gigawatts needed to get Marty back to 1985.
One of my favourites: (featuring a young Aimee Mann on backing vocals)

Considering the demographics of Crunchies, of course this was left out, Daddy-O!

Well I’m a bit late into this conversation so all the obvious ones have been said such as " time" by Floyd, however music is my greatest passion and I like all genres but my mood influences what I’m listening to and at the moment I’m full of angst so I guess it’s "wolverine blues " by entombed then 😉
Yep the whole album
