I was given this by my Uncle. It is a paperweight made by taking an old Timex and using a DIY kit casing it in liquid resin that then cures. It would be interesting to see how it is created. This must be 50 years old or older! Apparently created by my Uncle's father-in-law.
There are many many YouTube videos that show how to do exactly this with various items. It’s pretty cool if you have something you want encased in a permanent display
I cringe when I see watches turned into "art" or jewelry, because, as a hobbyist that constantly needs parts to repair my collection, someone else is using parts I may need in the future. That being said, I think that this is awesome looking and I'd love to see that on my desk 🤩
