Old Timex in Resin Paperweight

I was given this by my Uncle. It is a paperweight made by taking an old Timex and using a DIY kit casing it in liquid resin that then cures. It would be interesting to see how it is created. This must be 50 years old or older! Apparently created by my Uncle's father-in-law.

Super cool! 馃槑 What a keepsake for a watch guy!

There are many many YouTube videos that show how to do exactly this with various items. It鈥檚 pretty cool if you have something you want encased in a permanent display

Ice cold cool!

I cringe when I see watches turned into "art" or jewelry, because, as a hobbyist that constantly needs parts to repair my collection, someone else is using parts I may need in the future. That being said, I think that this is awesome looking and I'd love to see that on my desk 馃ぉ

This looks fantastic with awesome sentimental value. 馃コ

I saw something similar (although newer so far less sentimental value) at the DC watch show last year with the @TheTimeBum. I believe https://www.marylandwatchworks.com/ made it.

Yeah, thanks! This one dropped outta the sky! I have another paperweight I bought on eBay. I'll feature that soon as I can dig it out of a box! 馃槀
