The Casio “world timer”

Good morning crunchers! Wearing the Casio “world timer” today! Some call this the “Casio royale” watch because of the James Bond movie…but I think he was actually wearing digital Sieko!? Nevertheless, this is one of my favorite Casios. I might Mod this one? Or buy another to change it up. Either way, this is a pretty cool watch!

Classic watch I love it.

I think it’s gonna be my 1WC watch. Love how it works and how it wears.

I’m waiting for mine to come in. I thought it was called Casino Royale because the layout looks like a roulette table😜

He was wearing a Seiko.

This has the nickname because of its similar design.

I think there has been a resurgent in Casios like this one. I have been seeing more in the wild. A lady at our local mall has a watch kiosk..she was asking $90 for this one! Every Casio she had was 3 times more than their value.

I knew it! Does Seiko still make theirs?

Thanks for sharing this! Now I am excited to try a leather strap on this! I saw a mod kit where you can get different color face plates, saphire crystal for the glass, this will be fun! I saw a video on Instagram, I think it was some rapper? He was talking to someone and of course I noticed the watch..and it was the world timer! He had it modded with a cool strap and face plate etc. So it got me thinking….

Amazon probably sell over 50,000 casio royale and variant every month in the US market alone. It's a super popular inexpensive world gmt watch.

It also the most modded watch in history. People buy them in the dozens to mod and resale.

I may have to get one of these. The SGW-600 (photo included) is my Casio world-timer but the Royale is just, dare I say, iconic?

They look good and are so handy for multiple time-zone travel.

I think it is iconic. I bought this watch before I was even into watches. That and my Casio calculater watch. I thought I was the only one who liked casio, lol! I soon learned people love this things.

Agreed. You could make a case for having a Royale for travel and a few Duros of various bezel colours and strap combinations and call it a day as far as collecting is concerned, all with an outlay of less than $500.00.

I really like my Duro too. I have the black version, I was thinking about getting the blue one too.
