My new flex watch and yes it’s QUARTZ!

Bulova “Jet Star” 1973 50th anniversary re-issue. I wish WatchCrunch had video so you can see the sweep of the second hand. It is mesmerizing, ultra accurate, with a great design..feels great on my 7 inch wrist, and looks even better. The light reflections on the dial, gives you a whole new experience depending on the time of day. Love that it is unabashedly quartz. Wears like a true 40mm (actually measures just under that). Take that watch snobs! :)

That is a beauty. Love how accurate Bulova quartz is. 👍

·

I have always loved the high accuracy Bulova, that is pretty special and I love the strap too !

·

Best sweep this side of Grand Seiko.

Nice! The only thing I’d maybe change is the date window color. But does pop for our old eyes.

·

I want one BAD. Got to get hands on a watch meet up with one and wow, pictures don't do it justice

·

Yours is the red dial, right?

·

I want that one, but I worry it's hard to read the time.

Better: no date window 😁

·

I love that bracelet...

·

Not just any old quartz though!! The Precisionist FTW.

·

Really nice watch! Been eyeing that exact one for a while, mulling, mullling, mulling.... Not sure when , but increasingly sure trigger will be pulled!

·

I have that exact watch and I keep finding myself staring at the second hand. It amazes me every time

·

Congrats! That red dial almost looks black in the photo. I agree with you about the hi-beat quartz movement...just a dream to watch it smoothly circle the dial.

I love this reissue.

I went for the silver dial...

Exactly! I can actually see this one..so it is nice. Normally I can’t see the date.

I just picked one up. This dial only comes with a leather strap. I wish it came on the bracelet. I actually want to see if I can get the bracelet for it somehow as a replacement part possibly. Although I suspect this could work as a strap monster as well.

But I love the Precisionist movement. That sweep really is mesmerizing, so you get the convenience of grab and go quartz with a sweeping seconds hand that only Grand Seiko can surpass. Bulova really needs to lean into it and continue to develop it. More Precisionist watches like this please Bulova.

I think you have the limited edition one? But yes, it was the opposite for me. I have the bracelet but would love the strap option.

This is on the toof my "next watch to get list"... Absolutely love that merlot dial, and what can you say about the precisionist movement superb👍

That’s the one I wanted! My wife gifted me the red. Don’t have the heart to exchange.

It is mesmerizing!

Looks soo much better on your wrist than in the online images. Tempted…

It really does look better…depending on the angle and lighting, I always feel like I have a new watch.

Bulova and quartz go hand and hand. Don't let people shame Bulova they are a great watch company with an amazing herity

I agree! I really like Bulova. This is my third one! (I have the surfboard Chrono, this one, and the Sinatra, fly me to the moon). Naysayers can suck it..lol! I like the history and variety of the company.

Yes! I can actually see the date! Normally I can’t see the date without my glasses or the cyclops bubble.

That one has modern Accutron vibes.

Actually mine is not the limited edition but a Euro Spec dial, that I bought from a seller in Spain.

I just feel it's always nicer to have the bracelet because it's usually much easier to find a decent after market strap.

Bulova did a great job with this watch.

That one has modern Accutron vibes.

I think there was a time when Bulova was branding these Precisionist watches under the Accutron brand. That's changed with how Citizen has spun off Accutron and Bulova.

That's a cool one.
