Price. I’ve been looking to buy a preowned Longines Silver Arrow and found one that I thought was appropriately priced. It was well worth the wait.

·

Christmas present to myself because I know the wife won't get me anything good 😂

·

My bank account.

Just caught me eye!

·

I've been sitting on a couple waiting for the 11.11

I think the actual reduction was only a couple £ but then I claimed the £12 extra on each purchase and used a few coins too.

·

I just started collecting in June but so far just buying what catches my eye and what I think looks good on me as well as brands with lots of history and good reputations, as far as my grail watch that would be an omega speedmaster moon watch because I'm a space and sci-fi geek 🤓

My last watch purchase was a Timex iykyk R_ _ _ B_ _ _. I’m impulsive, I’ve been thinking of getting a Root Beer colored watch, I got an email of it being available and wound up buying it. I don’t regret buying it all, it’s a fun watch for me. I have a descendant and homage of my grail watch.

It dawned on me that I hadn’t bought a Seiko in over a year! So got my annual “fix” with the SBDL085 Speedtimer.

Early on I had a three or four Seiko a year habit. Slowly weaned myself into a two Seiko a year habit. Through willpower and discipline, and the support of numerous other brands, I’m now down to just a one Seiko a year habit 😬🤣

For me, I received an email that a particular watch was finally in stock so I had 30 seconds to decide before they sold out again and I would need to wait another 6 months. I make up the justification for the purchase while waiting for the watch to arrive in the post.

Which watch?

The most recent was was black dial Explorer II #16570. This particular one was in incredible condition and had the 3186 movement. The Explorer II line is just my favorite watch of all time and I couldn’t pass on it. The opportunity was just too good.

The one previous to that was for a work-related thing my brother and I decided to do together. Ever since we had started our business back in 2007, we had never celebrated any sort of milestone, any accomplishment, nothing.

So as the watch person between us I told him it’s high time we did something and I suggested we get matching watches. He immediately said “YES - Rolex!” 😂

So I made the call on which to get and it ended being the 16610. His ended up being one from 2009, and mine from 2007 (mine was fitting as this was the year we started out).

I think I’ve achieved my grail(s).

I wish I could say that my purchases are dictated by some other motives than me being easily distracted and attracted to shiny things.

·

To scratch the itch. I itch a lot.

I’ve had a lot of health issues this year. And a lot of the ones I purchased were just to feel like I got even just a little win despite being in the icu😅. But usually my purchases are to make my collection feel “more complete”. Or to fit my lifestyle. I achieved my Tudor bb54 grail watch. Thought it would be perfect for work, and it didn’t disappoint

Lorier watches are fantastic. When you have the likes of Teddy Baldassarre and the Urban Gentry cover th with high praise.. it says it all… no judgements here that’s for certain. It’s a brand I’ve been looking into for a while 🤟

Thanks for sharing. Hope you are on the road to recovery mate. Please take care and a win is a win as you say… the TBB54 is on my hit list too

Most recent purchase was this Sugess Moonphase. I love Aventurine dials and having recently bought the Venezianico Nereide Avventurina I saw this Sugess and had to get it!

My grail would be a Rolex Black Sub No Date. Have my name down on one with WOS. Just have to wait for the call 😂

My purchases don't have too deep of a meaning, I just like it

inbound - cheap, I still wanted a Parawater since my last one was nicked off my porch when delivered, and this is a classic.

·

The last watch I purchased (which was not one to practice servicing) was a vintage Certina because I was interest in the brand and it was a great deal.

·

I don’t have a moon phase and realized I could have one for under $50 with a used G-7900a off eBay lol

I got the call
