I don't disagree - the logo isn't the best, but I think it's fine. The plain block capital ISLANDER underneath is what I'd do away with myself, that's not great at all.
It was a thing at one point back in the day I think, I've seen it on vintage watches before (I want to say Rado in particular but I don't know if they invented it or not), but it's not as common as it ought to be, it's better looking than a day-date at 3 I think....
It's nice overall, seems like a very good deal for the $$.
Lume is decent not spectacular, but uses two colors.
Bezel action is good - no play at all, maybe a touch hard to turn (the grip is not great) but it might break in a bit.
The Miyota 8xxx is not the most refined movement as far as hand-winding and time setting goes. It's perfectly usable though
The crystal has distinct distortion from the slight dome, people who hate that should avoid it probably.
It's not going to win any awards for case/bracelet finishing - nothing particularly obnoxious though.
If you like the aesthetics, it's an easy recommend I think, as long as you aren't expecting a 600$ watch for half that price.
