These are great watches and very nice to wear, not too thick and chunky. I owned an all black version, but ended up moving it on as was difficult to read without contrasting hand and dial markers.

Good point. I am thinking about this exact one because of that. In low light this should be great.
I had this exact model, but I sold it. It was my first watch, had it for a long time too but the ani-digi layout didnt work for me, and the digital screen is basically invisible in certain light conditions. And when the hands are in the way, forget it. You can pinch two buttons together to make the hands clear out of the way but I found that annoying. I think its a bit overhyped for what it is.😀
Me too I’m 42, I have a classic square G, this will never go out of style, yet I see and lot of younger kids with the CasioOaks on, it’s a nice watch just for me personally feels strange have the same watch they would wear , but I guess it also depends on your lifestyle and what clothes you wear, so if you get one get the black one in the picture would work well.

We are same age. I was also looking at classic dw 5600 and there is not a single bad review. I was thinking about CasioOak because it is analogue but it is not something that's a must.

Well it might be the same as your childhood but for me I always thought of Casio as Digital watches from the 80s so that’s why prefer the classic designs , I think the newer analogue range was to attractive a wider audience & the younger people liked this !?

Hardly a dress watch, but it's smart enough for most situations in today's world. Go for it if it's going to bring you some happiness mate 😉👍👍

It's a great all around watch, and this one has enough contrast on the hour markers to be very legible.
If you do pick one up, it wears quite nice due to short lug to lug and how thin it is.
I have a new appreciation for the negative display. It is there if you need it, but does not take away from the design if you don't.
A daily watch disguised as a tough G-Shock. I find myself wearing it even at times in which the toughness isn’t really required.
I like it and I am thinking about adding one to my collection but I personally would choose the yellow colorway.

Also a thought.

Because I own a Moonswatch Mission to the Moon and an ICE Watch which looks like a Rolex Submariner. So a pop of color would be nice.

You can also buy different colours of genuine rubber bezels and straps on eBay too and swap them out easily.
I picked one up and was rather disappointed with it.
It's slim, but still quite bulky. I'd suggest an analog watch, or a digital, rather than a watch that does both types only moderately well.
I have never warmed up to the 2100 line. It's the shape I think. They just don't appeal to me.
My GADA. The negative colour scheme took some getting used to. Love it
If your in your 20s get this one! If your older get the original square Dw5600 design
