Which Cartier would you pick? (Santos or Roadster/Roadster Chronograph)

Santos, every day of the week. I have tried both on, and they are both nice, but the Santos is REALLY nice.

Update: there's a local pre-owned dealer that has both the Roadster large and the XL Chronograph so I'll make a visit in the next month or so and take some more wrist shots. Perhaps it won't be as I imagined or the other way around, it will make the Santos feel pretty mundane

The roadster is not my cup of tea… I like it more clean and balanced:

I love to be different, so it would be the roadster chronograph in white 👌 It feels like every man and his dog has a Santos (probably for good reason, I know, it is beautiful). 

I'm currently saving for a tank chronograph, either the American or Francaise.

I can't afford a Santos for my dog. She has to make do with a Vostok... a Komand-husky.  I'm here all week, try the veal

santos is the first choice, but roadster black chronograph is good too

For me, it has to be the Santos. I love the shape and all those screws! Also, like Roberto, I like the historic link to Alberto Santos-Dumont, even if the current version harks back to 1978 rather than the early 20th century. 

I know its sheer popularity might put some off but, out there in the real world, it is still a rare sight. Definitely on my 'one day' list! 

I picked the Santos.

As daft as it sounds, I adore and respect the Santos but I know if I had them both in front of me I would be walking out with the Roadster. I’ve nearly bought two over the years so third time is the charm. I like the case, the dial, the bubble in the glass, the crown, the tactility; there was this really cool version with a black dial and red numbering I tried on in a pawn shop many years ago that popped, I so should have bought it.

Santos for me. Especially on that bracelet. It's like butter on the wrist.

As much as I want to like the Sportster, that crown does not look "back of the hand" friendly...

If it fits you OK, go with the one that sings to YOU. Never mind what we think. If it makes you happy, that's all that counts.

I have never liked the Santos.  I would chose the Roadster in this case, probably black dial.

In the real event with my own money on the line, I chose the Tank XL.  Man, I wish I could afford a Tank Americaine or Francaise.

Santos all day long. 

I’d go with the Santos, but what I’d really be wanting is the tank solo…

luckily I'm left handed so wearing the watch on my right wrist won't dig the crown into my arm

Medium Santos for me. With your money, it's the rose gold one all day.

I much prefer the Santos. I like the overall shape of the Roadster, but the nipple-like crown ruins it for me. 

The Cartier Santos De Cartier in large. Best purchase ever. 👌 

Santos.  Can't stand cyclops but especially the one on the Roadster.

Santos for me.  But that black Roadster Chrono is pretty cool.
