Tissot PRX Powermatic 80. Have you got one yet? ๐Ÿ˜„

Have you noticed that the Tissot PRX Powermatic 80 seems to be everywhere lately? I've been seeing this watch more and more in the wild, and it's not hard to see why. This model is an absolute stunner and the brand really nailed it with this one.

The Tissot PRX Powermatic 80 has a classic, yet modern design that looks great on any wrist. Its textured dial, with raised squares laid out in a pattern similar to the AP Royal Oak, is the perfect blend of traditional and modern design. It's powered by the Powermatic 80.111 caliber, which is made by Tissot and based on the popular ETA 2824-2 movement, but with an added bonus of an 80-hour power reserve. This is a watch that not only looks great, but also performs incredibly well.ย

What's interesting is that this watch seems to have attracted a lot of people to the world of watches. I've talked to quite a few folks who purchased the Tissot PRX as their first mechanical watch, and it's great to see them take an interest in this hobby. This watch is not only accessible in terms of price, but it's also a great conversation starter. The only downside of the watch (especially for people new to watches) can be the integrated bracelet, which looks nice, but makes changing and finding non-OEM straps a hard task (but we can help you with that).

It's clear that Tissot has really hit it out of the park with the PRX Powermatic 80. The watch is a fantastic piece that doesn't break the bank, and it's great to see that it's getting more people interested in watches. Have you got one yet? ๐Ÿ˜„

No. I'd get the quartz if I had to get a PRX.

Bought mine just over a year ago and absolutely love it. Changing the bracelet isn't that hard, a little harder than most quick releases. More and more non-OEM straps are available so that problem is mostly a non-issue too, unless you're too lazy to Google, as so many are. ๐Ÿ™„

I got mine in November. Have the blue waffle dial. Itโ€™s quite nice.

I bought my green dial PRX a few months ago. I am blown away by them, they are a great watch. Today about two hours ago, I just ordered an aftermarket strap, so I'm excited and curious how it will turn out

Yes and very happy to see you have some strap options!

ยท

Super cool dial. The blue and the shape reminds me my father's old Omega he got when he was young!

I can't wait either but the expected shipping is within 1 - 3 business days and expected delivery is from april 27 - may 17 so I hope I will get it sooner ๐Ÿ™„๐Ÿ˜€

This strap would make the watch much more wearable for smaller wrists ๐Ÿ‘

ยท

I really want the PRX Powermatic 80 to be my next watch. Itโ€™s an awesome piece that Iโ€™d love to have. When I get one (eventually) itโ€™ll have to be the blue or glacier dial.

ยท

Do you have any pics with the blue strap/white or off white stitching?

Can confirm this, tried and tested on 16.5cm wrist ๐Ÿ˜„

Unfortunately not. But if you are interested in the strap, I can send you photos of this leather next to white and off white thread.

ยท

I have 2 Tissots, a Seastar and a quartz chrono. That strap issue has always stoped me cold on the PRX. All my other watches I can easily trade out straps dependent upon my mode that day. You guys make nice stuff but that doesnโ€™t really change things for me, have specific straps like that.

ยท

I have 2 PR 100 Powermatic 80's in 33mm, Black and white. Great watches and almost perfect accuracy so far. I like the small 70's look which is more authentic than the PRX to that time period.

Yes please

I have the PRX on the OEM leather strap which I believe is of poor quality.

Tissot have introduced a black rubber strap so Iโ€™ve been waiting to see if blue rubber will become available from them.

The twistsitchstraps website gives the option of selecting rubber straps, do you have any pictures?

Unfortunately, we do not manufacture rubber straps. However, the option you are referring to is for the strap backing or underside. The strap in the photo has a rubber backing, which can be seen in the last picture. For us, this is the best of both worlds!

I find it to be a very handsome watch in most all variants. That being said I'm not really interested because it doesn't really fit in with my collection and what I am doing with it.

ยท

Iโ€™d get the quartz and buy a second watch

ยท

No desire to own one after trying one on. Felt cheap in the hand and think the style is rather flashy. Not to my taste but can see how some may like it. To each their own!

Will the OEM strap wear better on my 6.1" wrist than the bracelet? My wrist will grow more in a year or two so I will get a leather strap till then if it fits better than the bracelet.
