Of course, there's always the custom fabrication route. 😅 Might be economical if a few people pooled their resources.
Right now, I've ordered some custom-fabricated bezel screws for the original G-Shocks (the originals are hard-to-find) and sharing the costs with a group.
(This is an early sample screw; the thread pitch isn't right yet.)
OEM is certainly high quality, but it says "Seiko"— and I'm not trying to pass this build off as a real Seiko. Also, the slim case back I'm using is only rated to 100m. :)
These are all self-imposed constraints—some extra rules that make the project a bit more challenging.

I passed the watch along to a collector who has an interest in radium dials. We’ve had quite a few radium dial watches in the family and the dust can be dangerous if inhaled.
