Is it weird to gift someone a worn watch?

Thinking of gifting a watch to my brother. It's a Tissot PRX Automatic (black dial) that I've owned for about a year or so. Although I like it, it doesn't get a significant amount of wrist time so it'...

I am in love with this watch

I have no idea how to find and/or properly value it in the secondary market

I must have it

I thought I would have a problem with it when looking at it online but it wasn't much of an issue in person. It's visible at most angles but not obtrusive.

Ideally, I would have preferred the Heuer logo and no date, but neither of these were a deal breaker on the wrist.

That's a fair point and part of the reason why I'm hesitating. Watches are very personal in my opinion, hard to buy for someone unless you know their style/preferences.

I bought the Tissot rubber strap for it so he has options. Goes without saying, definitely cleaning it as thoroughly as possible.

I much prefer this method of tiers where entries can span multiple tiers

Pretty solid ratings for the most part as well!

Not sure about Citizen,Tag, Rado...

Also missing a few: Oris, Sinn, Nomos, etc.

First full day with this on my wrist.

It sits well on the wrist and the bracelet is surprisingly comfortable for a Seiko. I will definitely try out a few strap options over the next couple of weeks as well.

Extremely satisfied with the addition thus far. I will put out a review after considerable use to give you a better idea of where I stand on it long-term.

Where do you stand on watch winders?

It appears to me that there are two schools of thought: 1. A watch winder does not harm the watch and in fact helps by keeping the movement in motion. It prevents oils from congealing and freezing up...
