Neither laptops nor cell phones emit more than 3 gauss. No well-made mechanical watch would be affected by that. Enjoy them with peace of mind.
The problem is not the forum, the problem is the people with their ego. Unfortunately, in any open community there is some of that, it is part of the balance.
Submariner is black with no date. All color variations are made on another watch, the Submariner Date. In this case the Kermit, so it will always be dated, unless you create a Frankenstein by changing the bezel.

LUNAR PILOT. Not an alternative, but a competitor! 43.5 mm changed the conversation. IMO.
