I’m a software engineer and watch enthusiast. I’m not excited about brand or heritage, but rather engineering tech.... spring drive, solar GPS, electrostatic drive, transistor tuning fork regulation, intricate mechanical complications and 19th century tourbillons. I do have a soft spot for dive watches and steam punk. I’m enjoying building, and researching the back story of manufacturing watches.

Beautiful restoration ! I also really appreciate the restorative lume work you do. I assume that’s all the luminova (or strontium aluminate) variety?
I wore my tuna for 3 weeks of this month logging daily offset. I was curious to get some timing data on this 5R65 movement and see how it compares to other spring drives. End result was an extremely reliable +6.5 seconds per month.
