New build 7750 - mont lanc
New build completed! It’s built from a new top-tier ETA Valjoux 7750, with a Swiss made black PVD case with sapphire front and back. The dial is recycled salvage, bought used from eBay, and I can only imagine it had a rough life… perhaps was run over by a bus. Under magnification, the enamel dial shows a bit of usage “patina”…. While cleaning it up, part of the B came off, and so I decided to name this watch, my “mont ..lanc” watch.
38mm dial, which makes it one of the smallest watches in my rotation. I’ll get use to it. Thanks for taking an interest.

Yes! My maximum is two per day… I set my expectation low at 1 per hour to manage patience level 😂, with several weeks vacation in between to recuperate 😂

I was doing a build of an NH35 recently, and I set the seconds hand on the first try. I was so shocked I picked up the cushion to look at it from the side top make sure it was actually set, and, since it was just in a cushion, I of course dropped the whole movement. But no harm dive, still runs fine!

My heart skips a beat every time I drop the movement, but so far no harm done. …Yet 😂
