Such a pain trying to remove the bracelet without scratching it, only to try on the strap, not feeling it, and immediately fiddle to try and put the bracelet back on.
I feel the strap threw off the weight balance of the watch given how hefty the watch head was. Anyone prefers a strap on your Rolex / Tudor? Maybe I just threw on the wrong colour?

I think because of the thickness of Sea Dweller it might feel a little off balance. That strap might look/feel better to you on a slightly smaller Rolex model
Bracelet
Yep the Rolex bracelet is painful to remove when being overly cautious not to scratch. I’ve tried numerous straps but keep going back to the bracelet. If it’s an older model, so good that you can now get an aftermarket on the fly quick extension link 👍
I prefer my bracelet on my BB GMT. When I had my Submariner it was always the bracelet. That being said the leather strap looks amazing.
Nope, right move to keep it on the bracelet. I am usually not a fan of a dive watch on a leather strap, I simply do not like the look, especially on something like a SD. If swapping, it needs something of equal quality, be it rubber or sailcloth.

I have my Deepsea on a Rubber B, and it's perfect.
I'm bracelet only on mine

You're probably right. If it was a sub it'll work better, on the SD it just feels too top heavy

Thanks, I got the strap specially for the SD since I thought the himalayan colour goes with the dial, but am gonna have to find another watch to pair with it now.

Good point, keeping to the outdoorsy theme probably makes it less jarring.

Looks fantastic. To @AllTheWatches point above, a rubber strap looks much better, though I'm not a big fan of how a rubber / silicon strap feels on the wrist.

RubberB and Everest make really good ones, but I hear you, it is a risk to spend that much if you do not like how they feel.
The Rolex Sea Dweller is top heavy for sure especially with the 20mm tapering to 16mm. However, if you like straps I would go with the fitted rubber strap that integrates by the end link area. That one you have on is in my humble opinion is the wrong style and color. I'm an oyster bracelet guy - I'll suffer with the uncomfort of the bracelet LOL!
Bracelet is more suitable for Driver version. But if you want show personality. I still recommend use leather strap in some case.
Wrong strap. The Sub or Sea Dweller need rubber or nato (if they are leaving the bracelet). Not a big fan of croc or leather on divers. Just doesn’t look right.
Did you find the Rubber-B was a bit too stiff?
I found it wanted to keep its shape instead of complying with my wrist shaped - it would rub on the sides and feel loose on the underside of my wrist.
Not at all. I put in hot/warm water after I put it on the watch, put it back on the watch pillow for a couple days. it's been wonderful since.

Rubber B and Everest areade from vulcanized rubber. It's way better than any silicone.
Just got Two Sailcloth straps from Artem for my BB Bronze!! 23mm not sure what lug width is for the Rolex … wanted to try it out before I get the Rubber B for it… only thing is you still have to get use the buckle on your original strap well at least for mine … that’s a bummer for me …
Does look cool but I’m going to keep mine on the bracelets
Rolex bracelets are not really meant to be removed. The lug holes are placed close to the case making it difficult to find a strap that doesn’t get chewed up. I would try a quality NATO strap if you must take the bracelet off. A Red NATO would look awesome with that dial.
Bracelet over that strap, too pale I think.
Rolex NEEDS to have a quick release system. It's too damn hard and scary to change straps all the time and such an easy addition they could make.

Great idea, red nato with the red SD wording. But I'll still be concerned with the weight balance of the watch with a nato

Maybe its deliberate to keep you on their bracelet
Worth a try, but that strap never stood a chance. The bracelet is way better. Maybe a thick rubber strap in a contrasting color could work?

Maybe!

You are right, I didn’t think of that. It would be flopping around on your wrist.
