Lorier gained time

Does it make sense that my lorier gained 3 mins in almost a month?

I mean - that's 1 minute every 10 days = 6 seconds a day. Not bad at all for a 500 dollar watch. They can be regulated if you want more accuracy but I'd say that's pretty good.

@88MilesPerHour Man you put in the work and math - Brilliant 🍻

@seanjonas I haven't worn a watch and let a watch run that long. 6 seconds a day doesn't sound bad. I don't think you need to sweat it brother 🤙🏽

·

Over a month, that is good… although my watch with an NH35 is only 3 seconds off since the time change in the US four weeks ago (which is basically miraculous)👍👍

I have another watch that runs +22spd that is 3 minutes fast over ~8 days… when I wear it, I set it a minute slow and it’s a minute fast before the week is out 🤨.

it's fine wear it in good health! 😎

Thx! Never had mechanical before so wanted to check if this is normal

Thx!☺️

Fear not and stop banging it against that rock!

·

By the way, I set my watches every time I put them on for both fun and accuracy.

·

All good for the movement. Actually, pretty good

I'll adjust weekly if I'm only going with one auto for an extended time. Maybe not exactly the same, but keeps me in the ballpark so to speak.

Gotcha! Yep.👍

·

That is pretty good! Mine is around +3/s per day. Definitely better than it being slow. Nice watch!!

It doesn’t make sense at all.. It’s too accurate for what you paid for 😂 Glad you got a particularly good movement for your watch! 👍

Bingo! This particular watch is running fantastic! Lauren (at Lorier) told me to regulate their products to COSC spec is not impossible, but will add extra cost (probably due to the time/effort involved regulating the movement). Their watches are an incredible value proposition and I’m glad to hear you got an example running with fantastic precision!

·

As people have said, for this watch, at that price... pretty normal. Good even.

·

Movement behaves within acceptable parameters?

Complain

Christ on a bike, if you want better, let me introduce you to the quartz section…

·

That’s actually excellent accuracy, no need to worry 😊👍.

Remember, automatic watches aren’t as accurate as quartz 👍.

·

It might be my OCD speaking but that doesn’t make sense at all actually. How can you let your watch drift and not reset it FOR A MONTH!!??? 😀

(Your watch is fine by the way)

·

Pretty..pretty..pretty good👍

·

2 seconds per day is an excellent movement!

·

Mine looses 7 seconds a day

·

That’s terrible, I’ll take it off your hands! 😉

I reset mine every week.

When owning a few mechanical watches it is worth purchasing time grapher and a $40 demagnetizer. I recommend +- 5 secs a day. If you happen to gain a minute or two a day just run it on the demagnetizer.

Doesnt it depend on the movement?

Yes/no. Some movements are more accurate than others and there is only so much you can do in terms of regulation. I should of said try to shoot for +-5 seconds a day. I regulated my Lorier Astra and Zypher to be within this range. But at the end of the day watches are going to drift, especially after a months time.
